And what's amazing is how Dr. Harari' s analysis applies to modern ideologies like economics and nationalism. I'm thankful to India Today for inviting Dr. Harari. He wrote great book “the sapien”. He distilled a lot and wrote perfect book. In many of his interviews he says “know yourself “ to make good decisions and not get manipulated. He says meditation helped him in this regard. I would like to add, behavioural psychology is the study , one must read and think deeply how humans make decisions. I am curious, what is harare’s take on behavioural sciences. I personally think, everyone should study behavioural sciences to make atleast reasonable decisions in life. If everyone does the same, we can save the planet, homosapiens and environment also. Atleast all top leaders of the world should study behavioural sciences, to not make stupid and horrible decisions for all humanity. Behavioural sciences study and application can decrease to some extent human stupidity. Had mr Harare studied this behavioural theory?

When groups began to settle in one place there came the need for rules governing the shared access to nature, to the water, timber, plants, animals and other resources necessary to support life. While these rules were early on based on a desire to achieve equality of opportunity, eventually every society succumbs to the creation of a privileged hierarchy based to a large extent on monopoly control over nature, over land. Control over nature results in the concentration of economic and political power, with the landless forced to compete with one another for a subsistence existence. While we see that the percentage of desperately poor people in almost every society has fallen in recent decades, the absolute number of very poor people continues to increase. And so, millions and millions of people accept and endure the worst hardships in an effort to escape from poverty, from oppression and from brutality.
