back in 1997, i clearly remember I wished for arrow keys for Diablo and never understood why this never was a thing. I'm so glad i'll be able to finally experience this kind of control in the ARPG genre.
Too bad poe2 is a Souls game and not an arpg
For me it was the riftbreaker, which is the first arpg I know of with "twin stick" control

Funny how they realized that poison + health globe turning green = cool indicator...when D2 had it :D the game they hold so high. It shows how much those guys back in the day knew about making games!

The slower, more difficult and impactful playstyle is such a breath of fresh air, it looks so good!

I've been playing d2 since the early 2000s, and was impressed after playing d2r on switch. The change of control felt so refreshing! I can only imagine what a game that was designed specifically for this would feel like.

with how many companies rush out unfinished unpolished products... its just refreshing to see a company willing to push back and make sure the final product is amazing.
The other important factor is that they didn't throw their existing product under the bus to deliver the new game. See Destiny and Overwatch for examples of going the other direction.
14:40 in Lies of P you can get "flask charges" by "playing good" ... so maybe generate flask charges on well timed doge roll or something of that sort
I'm wondering about the skills they have shown, the explisve arrow on gas clouds, depends on the gas damage or only on rhe explosive arrow? 🤔
i'm interested to see if we get more skills that go through massive changes like storm burst back in the day

I'm glad that both Diablo 4 and PoE2 are supporting WSAD. I prefere mouse movement but my buddy has severe wrist pain so it's easier/more comfortable for him to play with WSAD.
Just hope all skills still feel good using mouse as movement, I’ve tried but I’m not a wasd player
I think they should have guard counter from elden ring as a support gem or something because why would anyone use active block when rolling is so much better.
Now with active blocking and electrocution in PoE2.
I wonder if there could be a specific basetype or unique shield that reflects electrocuting lightning damage.
When you get swarmed or locked into blocking, you just block for a while, stun the enemies and then make an escape.
Sounds like a cool use for Tempest Shield in PoE2

I think that's how it is on console. I've never been able to play PC because of the old control scheme

@@Flourikumthat's how it's always been on consoles and PC. Controller use twin sticks movement and aiming.
@ctgaming168 you have no remote control over what you target 9 times out of ten for even basic spells. It targets whatever is closest to you and auto locks so idk wtf you are on about.
@@Flourikumwrong. controller scheme has always been able to free aim by simply holding a trigger down

It really does make a giant difference. Playing BG3 with the WASD mod makes the game much more enjoyable

"deal with it". I'm gonna remember that when it comes around on them after people have enough one day and stop giving support with this type of mentality.
Go design a game that suits you better with 0 limitations or challenge and see how many people play it.
@@mikebranch7928Yeah that's called a private server and plenty of people end up reverse engineering the source code of a game and making private servers. Don't be surprised when one day this happens with PoE and people get to play a game that's not policed by devs who think overbalancing everything is fun.

Seems like a horrible idea trying to move and hit the skills. This isn’t like an MMO we’re you stand still for most combat when using skills

Prepare yourself by playing Bloodborne, Sekiro or Elden Ring (probably Elden Ring).
It'll be a walk in the park in PoE2 if you learn how to whiff punish in Elden Ring
