- Are you taking a break in Bali and looking for something a little fancier? Then this travel video is for you! My (Slightly Overspent) Bali Adventure! Enjoy 5 star luxury at my expense. It seems Bali is no longer the value it used to be. But if you make an error in booking like I did, well lets just say it will bruise your wallet! This was my authentic experience in Bali. This trip was an extravagant adventure filled with luxury and unforgettable experiences. I decided to splurge on a lavish hotel that added an extra layer of indulgence to my stay. But not all went according to plan.
Nestled in the picturesque Uluwatu region, the hotel offered breathtaking views of the ocean and provided a serene escape from the bustling world. I also witnessed the iconic big statue that stands as a symbol of Bali's rich cultural heritage. Its grandeur left me in... well, you'll find out. I really enjoyed living the 5-star experience (or was it 6?) through your lenses. I’ve not yet visited Bali myself, and know there’s many places where I could become immersed ‘in the moment’ as well. Think I’d like to experience a couple of nights at a similar Hotel, however I know that I’d like to visit a variety of others authentic to the Balinese culture, close to local attractions too. Great work as always Joel 👌😎🙌🏼

I have binged on many of your Bali vids and I have to say that this was honestly my worst look at Bali. It was not the 16mm film version of Bali that I disliked either, for me it was the cost and loss of the Balinese cooking that I miss. I have seen you visit much nicer in Bali. Honestly, if I want Italian cooking, I would go to Italy. I hope that Bali does not become too touristy to change what is to love and unique to Bali. This video almost makes me sad to see but that is jmo.
I appreciate your point of view, I like to experience a little of everything but in agreeance, I do prefer local authenticity.

I am not too much of a fan of the luxury stuff. I prefer budget travel. Seems too polished and somewhere along the trip...seems to be too "corporate" to me. Too touristy. I love the small-town charm of the smaller packages. But looks like you had fun! That is what really matters. 🙂 Breathtaking views for days!
Fair enough, I'm into both, Caroline. I enjoy camping and exploring cozy family-run spots off the beaten path, but I also treat myself to some luxury vibes now and then.
Gee too expensive for me. I got told never to go to Bali 30 years ago so I have never been. They said there is better places in Asia they regretted going to Bali so many times 😊
