  • How to make a long flower arrangement for a long dining table.
    Ingredients - peach and white gerbera, white gladiola, white roses, white spray carnations, long ivy trails, eucalyptus, and French/Italian ruskus
    In this design we wanted to make an arrangement that can act as a runner down the centre of a long table - so we want the flowers to be short and low. Using the ivy allows us to green the base without adding volume - which is ideal!
    Watch the video to see this technique - and you can vary the flower content or colours to match your scheme. The end result is a long low design - just perfect for decorating but not dominating a table.

    Thank you John for all your videos. I have been watching you for about 3 years now. Thanks to you, I have done 2 quite big weddings in Devon now for 2 close friends and everything was based on your wonderful teachings. I did detailed hair combs, bouquets, display items and buttonholes, etc and had some truly amazing comments. I thought of you. My secret teacher. I can’t thank you enough. • @FlowerJoos
      @FlowerJoos  Před 2 lety

      Hello - you can make the length to suit - the only thing that restricts it is the length of the materials themselves. Yes, this would be suitable in a church - for an altar you can make it more one-sided, and even cascading a little so it can sit on the edge of the altar. 🌼😀

    • @FlowerJoos
      @FlowerJoos  Před rokem

      Hi there. If I was adding a garland along the front of a bridal table I woukd pin it on using pearl headed pins - so nice strong ones. At the points you want to attach take little stitch into the cloth with the pin on the top edge, then add the garland and pin back into the cloth. The pin sits vertical catching the garland and the point is at the back facing down. That is fir more of a rope style - for heavier garlands it might require extra pinning from behind in other areas.
