- Hermione Granger’s wand was one of my very first, so how does the wooden one compare?
Thinking about getting a wooden wand, but not sure if it’s worth it. Here I compare the @harrypotter wooden version of Hermione’s wand to the official Noble Collection Resin wand.
Sometimes there can be so many wands, it can be hard to choose. Now there are wooden versions, complicating the matter even more.

I'd love it if there really IS a core inside because even if we break it, the dragon string inside would be seen sticking out and it'd still look authentic and can still be put on display.
Well I definitely wouldn't recommend that - absolutely handle with care 😅
Such a pretty wand! I love that it is real wood, as it should be. I'm really happy to see companies beginning to move away from producing things made from plastic. I have stopped buying things made from plastic when at all possible, and only buy things made of wood, metal, glass, and natural material.
How lovely to hear - perhaps if these do well - they may make more of them out of wood 🤞

Not tried making my own wand so far - I would say I'm much more of a wand collector than a maker.

I’m just so tempted to get hermiones wooden wand over the two new wands I planned on getting on Friday.
Hermiones is just my all time favorite and the first one to ever be in my collection, too many wand options to choose from lol
I did really like Hermione’s - it just happened to be the last I grabbed of the wooden wands - but I would highly recommend. It’s lovely
I live in Belgium and I just imported Hermione Granger's resin wand from the UK at £ 25.6 on Christmas discount, the wooden version was just too expensive as you said double the price (£ 60), and it needed more purchases to have free shipping but didn't have enough so I just bought the wand from the cheapest resin version
I just ordered the wand and paid nearly 40£ with DHL shipping, PLUS 23€ of tax and duties !!! So I nearly spent 80 Euros just for a resin replica !!! Can buy this at 35€ from any local store but I guess they are just toys and not the official replicas, with the box and everything
Anyway, fortunately I'm big fan of HP and I UNCONDITIONALLY LOVE Emma Watson so I'm ready to spend more for her, just received the order today, a bit shocked for the total price, but I'm still excited now I got the official one from the UK Wand Shop

I thought the wooden version as shown on the Wizarding World site, it looked weird even awful because I didn't really like its aspect and colors in the photos, but in the video it looks pretty cool, actually even better than the resin one, but your resin wand looks more like plastic, I guess I purchased the newer and more realistic version of resin, it just looks identical as the wooden wand except for touching we notice it's not wood.
It really sucks UK is no more in EU, everything imported or exported costs almost twice more expensive
Gosh I'm sorry to hear that it cost so much to get an official wand. I also find it so annoying that brexit has caused so many problems for all. Hope you enjoy your new wand though ✨
I have the newer version of hermione's resin wand in my Harry Potter collection and it is the same colour as the wood one but just a bit brighter
Is that the new version? Why are they making new versions?

I wonder if there's differences between series like s04-s15 etc. And if there's which one is the accurate to the movies' wands. Do you know anything about it?
There probably is differences - I have seen wands generally have slight variances of paintwork. Regarding screen accurateness - I'd have to double check at WB Tour London - to see which is closer to the prop wand

Wooden wands seem much more real to me even if they aren’t the same as in the films. The books are so much better than the films and the wands aren’t really described in great detail in the books are they?
Agreed - the wooden wands definitely feel more real to me. I mean they did a pretty great job I think - so I'm pleased with this wooden wand

@@onespellaway man 2004 And it means you have took great care of it i bought a Elder wand Replica of Noble Collection because noble collection are not in my country i think and it broken from above and from the curve at the lowest point of the wand
