My mum forced me to go to university I did my best but unfortunately I dropped out in my 3rd to follow my passion which is poultry farming. Am living my dream. I went through chronic depression in 2020 I overcame this situation with the help of this man @Steve Harvey. God bless you Harvey.

I am in the middle of writing a vision board (watched a past vid of Harvey talking on writing one with 300 things) and it does work. It focuses you and it keeps you happy.
I will admit, I was one fo those who were always in a glum state of mind. I had a dead-end job that did not let me pursue what I wanted, I worked with people who would laugh at me and had me believe I missed the boat of opportunities.
You have to have a vision. Stay away from those who hold negative thoughts all the time. They just bring you down.
Stay positive and smile every day.

My Vision Board has been completed last week and have been reading it every morning and every night.
My outlook has changed and I have been very positive
BONUS TIP: whenever a negative thought pops up, I just think, "How is this useful?"

Yeah. Five teen years of hearing, "You're the dumbest smart person I've ever met." Always, if I had a great idea, great enthusiasm, complete confidence that I could Make It Work, and my brother would say, "Naw. It won't work. You can't do that. You don't have what it takes." What? So now I'm a senior citizen, I have nothing but my integrity. I've never owned a home, except this 2001 travel trailer I live in 24/7/365, on someone else's land.

This is two years later, but writing things down does work. It’s how God works. I didn’t look at my vision board for a while and when I saw it this week, there were two big things I asked God for years ago, for my brother to be sober and for my mother to make more money. This week, my mother got a finance job paying her 100k a year and my brother hasn’t had a drop of alcohol in 6 months. It works and God is real. Thanks for the motivation Steve. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.

Everything we wanted we wrote it down and put it on our vision board of the house we wanted and car and vacations and everything we wrote Dow we got it the end of 2017!!!! I had a 1.4 GPA in high school, graduating in bottom 19 students of my class. I struggled with drugs and an abusive boyfriend for a bit, before I fought for my own life. I went to community college, and realized I was pretty smart, pretty good at academics, even though I sucked at high school. I graduated community college with a 3.86 GPA. Later I applied to university at 32 years old with a first grader and a toddler. I got into UCLA, and was the only person in my class at UCI that had got into UCLA. Not one of those young students who intimidated me got in to that school. But I didn't go to UCLA, even though I cried from joy for being accepted, my toddler son was too important to drive all the way to UCLA. Even though UCI is only 10 minutes from my house, it was so stressful with my two babies that I couldn't control my bowels, had panic attacks, and constantly felt guilty over my study time. But I graduated with honors grades, but my restricted schedule because of the kids wouldn't allow me to get my credits in time for official honors. That didn't matter. I did it to show my kids who the hell we are. My daughter graduated a year early from high school, even after dealing with abuse from her dad, and bullies at school. My son was the most severe case of dyslexia I have ever seen. The boy couldn't read the word CAT from one sentence to the next. It was hell. THe stupid school tested him with an IQ of 85, nearly retarded. But I knew my son. So I tested him myself and he did the Ravens Matrices test in 15 minutes at 5 years old, and scored 115. Now, I can't beat him on a history fact even if I try. And he reads better and has better comprehension than his classmates who never struggled.
I hate when people say they aren't cut out for higher education. That is what I thought my entire childhood. My dad was a truck-driver. My mom was in healthcare and worked the ambulance. They never encouraged me to get schooled. And I thought I was below those Harvard kids and all those special people. But no. We are not below them. It is not easy when you don't have a mentor as a parent who has done it. THat is why I did it. But, it is for all who want it. If you are gifted in something not requiring it, that's cool too. Not having an education at university should never be a sign of inadequacy, or stupidity. But if you do want it, do not ever let these privileged fuckers make you feel like it is only for elite, or you don't belong there. If you want the education, you deserve it just as much or more than the kid whose parents pay to get them in, or who get in from being legacies. You get it. You belong in Harvard, or Cornell, or Stanford or UCLA just as much as the kid who expects it. And the world needs more of the ones who aren't entitled to be given the chance. Take it. Community college in California is the backdoor to any prestigious university in the country. If you think you are the fringe, that makes it all the more important that you get a spot.

Man, I've made excuses because I need a planner, and I always felt like I was weird cause the act of physically writing stuff helps me remember and helps me meet my goals. I would try and explain it to people and when they didn't get I just said whatever so I didn't look weird. I don't put stuff in my phone not even my appt or dates that my bills are due, I pay them online but what's important is that I remember to pay them. Man what you just said made me feel so good...finally someone puts in words what and why I do the things. Thank you so much for that!
