I was gonna say, idk about y’all but it’s impossible remembering when a figure came out and when where ever I’ve had it preordered for a year finally got it and sent it to me. Lol
I’ve bought way too much since 2020 to rank them but you need to check out the Archecore line, it’s been one of the most enjoyable and unique lines I’ve gotten into.

In regards to number 2, I surprisingly got zero Quality Control issues. Only complaints are easy paint chipping and maybe some tighter joints on star saber
The siege reflector (refraktor for trademark reasons) 3 pack is something I got this year, and it was one of the best transforming toys I have gotten, EVER. It has issues, but the three are so damn fun.
I got a set for pocket change sniped from under my fingers
I won't pretend I'm not still salty about it, but that's a really good aet that surelly is being enjoyed by the guy
Studio Series 86 Ironhide is by far my favorite. His vehicle mode is problematic, but how his van bits fold up into his feet so cleanly, it puts every other Ironhide toy outside the original G1 to shame. The range of motion, the balance, the solid build, its all great. Easily number 1 if the van mode wasn't a total pain to snap together properly.

Although I dont have a top 10 of this year yet, Legacy Jhaixus will find its way in the list for me due to the sheer fun I have had handling it. The articulation and also the inclusion of pose-able hands really wins it for me, and adding the enjoyable and satisfying transformation
Lol, I only got like three figures this year, but I have liked all three of them so yeah, I got skids, drag strip and ravage
The Transformers trailer has more views than the freakin GotG 3 trailer so that’s definitely saying something about us Transformers fans. 🎉
My favorite of this year is definitely CW Superion, it’s an incredible figure that I love to mess with.
86 Sludge was my favorite figure that I got this year, there is so much I love about him that helps me overlook the looseness of his joints, the size, the alt mode, the gun accessory he comes with, the great articulation, the presence, the vibrance of his colors, the box and the art on the box, and the wings in robot mode. He feels like an old Leader class figure, and the other two Dinobots didn't impress me as much as Sludge did for some reason. Now I am really excited for Snarl, and maybe Swoop, but Sludge is my favorite Dinobot so far. The Wreck N Rule collection was also pretty good, but that's because I didn't own most of the molds that were repainted for that line (namely Impactor, Leadfoot, Springer, Bulkhead, and Twin Twist). And the Fossilizers from Wreck N Rule are cool. Some things also got Reissued, like a couple of really expensive DNA kits I needed, Siege Jetfire, and Earthrise Sky Lynx. I pray to God they also reissue things like the Centurion Drone Weaponizer because that's the one thing missing from my collection that I need. The Beast Wars reissues are also awesome, and I hope those keep on coming. I also got a look at Earthrise Scorponok in person without having to buy him, which was awesome and saved me money, though I still wish I could own him. Haslab Victory Saber blew it out of the park, and Deathsaurus is looking great, so there is something for the backers to look forward to next year. Legacy Evolution looks awesome, especially the first wave (the one with Tarn and Needlenose) and the leaked Junkion 2 and Animated Prowl figures. The Transformers Reactivated video game looks interesting, but there is nothing we know about it other than the setting and two leaked cinematics, so it's too early to judge. The movie is looking great, there are a couple of things wrong like the unfinished CGI and Wheeljack's unnecessary redesign, but overall, it looks like the movie is going to live up to the hype, and I'm loving how much attention it's getting from casual moviergoers. Great year for Transformers, much better than 2020 and 2021, here's to 2023 being the best year for Transformers fans in a long time.

I took my brand new unopened studio series fallen to Horrorfest, Convention, and Tony Todd was one of the guest appearance. I was the only asshole walking around with a transformers toy box package, but I’m so glad I did because I had Tony Todd sign his autograph on it. It was a huge surprise to him, and very interesting conversation starter.

Man, favourite new figure this year... Maybe Fans Hobby Red Buzzer or Star Saber or Override. Favourite figure I got this year though? Probably Animated Leader Bulkhead. That thing is amazing. Maybe also G1 Clench that I purchased of Thew. Couldn't believe he was selling it and I pounced.

Your discord convinced me to get the ROTF leader prime (more specifically the jet version) and I don’t regret it
My personal favourite was ss hot rod
It had such a good paint job and it's in the front of my collection.
I guess I got lucky with my Victory Saber. The only issues I have is that one of blast effects parts has a slight molding defect and the silver paint on his Prime mouth plate has a line going down at an angle but only visable up close.

I loved all of the bay films. Personally I don’t think any of them deserve the hate. But I’m 21 and those were the transformers I grew up with so I love them no matter what
Man Megatronus doesn’t get enough love these days glad to see him at number one. Does the vehicle mode suck donkey nuts yes but the robot mode definitely makes up for it
Motormaster is definitely one of my favorites. The transformation, his G1 look, and the trailer to Menasor. If they would have given him the proper weapons for Menasor and Motormaster I think he would be one of the best out there

I picked up Victory Saber secondhand, unopened, from eBay. And he was worth every penny. I love the faux-ratcheted butterfly joints and an crunch and desperately wish other figures would do that!
So for me I know top two is between the MMC Pexus mold and the Eris Kulter mold. I legit just got my hands on the Fallen today and already I like it, Override from the Walmart line is also very nice for me as well.
As for what I'm looking forward to? TFC Toys finishing up their Satan combiner, been waiting for what feels like forever for that

I literally got that legacy metroplex from Kapow toys yesterday for £99. Very happy 😁
I haven't made a list, but the ones I bought this year I really liked are the powerdashers, legacy galvatron, gensel launchbase modulizers, gensel kingdom cyclonus, cw blot, and rodimus unicronus
I really like the weaponizers and the modulizers, and while I still have to grab a fastrack mold, I grabbed the others. Even slammer, but the amount of hoops really put a damper on it. I find the powerdashers to have the upper hand on their base counterpart, in deco and specific detailing
Same for the launchbase duo. I found it for relatively cheap and I like the color possibly more. I am tempted to double dip, and grab a second airwave (not all that much inspired by hothouse) and as soon as a greasepit is in grasp range, they'll be grasped.
Legacy galvatron is THE definitive version of the charather, so much they couldn't do a straight SS.
I initially slept on cyclonus. I already had the CW version and really liked that, but then a guy I knew was selling the gensel for poket change, arguably less than retail for the base version, and I pulled it out of their hands. That figure is purified dark magic and no one will convince me of the contrary: not only the figure breacks all preconception on how to make a robot transforming into a space jet toy, but also uses a series of engieneering trick that I hope the entire gimmick-toy industry will adopt. The guy also already did a hand of sealant on the stickers, so my entropic hands will not destroy them just from handling the figure
I slept on most of the prime trilogy, with the hardship of getting toys to retail, the convention mark-up for sets, very little interesting bots in CW proper, absence of single releases (and consequently, KOs) of some of them, and the lackluster show. Dare I say that I bough Blot for reasons unrelated to transformers. But the lil'guy is just a pleasure to handle. He seamlessy goes from thing to robot, and from either to limb. It's everything I could have wanted from him. Sometimes I'm tempted to grab rippersnapper and the seacons, but reality is harsh on that front
PotP Rodimus unicronus and his side nemesis hotrod. The mold is the only one that managed to give us both version of the charather in a way that made sense, but the evil deco is the one that realy works. Hot rod is a bit limited in moving the legs back, rodimus is a bit hard to balance, an extra hinge would have made those back panels into an evil coattail (like his model in earth wars compresses them) and he'll never really be in scale with anything else.
Arguably the first bot of the new wave of shattered glass, the guy is exactly everything I may ever have wanted from such a figure. Some will turn their nose at the partsforming arms, but I disageee, especially with the 'powermasterish' orion-to-optimus figure that came out before
I haven't gotten 10 tf figures this year but I got the KO FT Quietus, TW Arcee, and TW Springer and I absolutely love all of them hehe. Looking forward to more MP level figs both official and 3rd party next year!

Found an animated Grimlock this year and he's wonderful.
@1:20 honestly it was due to Marvel and Star Wars asking for $350 per without giving us enough, and giving us a $600+ Lightsaber (after the failed Rancor) for a character not many people really liked.
Just a lot of bad decisions on their part although Disney is more then likely asking for way too much for their IPs giving Hasbro no real choice sadly.

I got some Transformers at JB Hi-Fi.
There were Marvel and DC action figurefor like $40! A lot of medium sized Transformers were that price, a no-brainer in terms of utility - more mass and playability
I don't really have a list of my top figures, but I DO have a favorite figure purchase:
Maketoys Striker Manus. Great posability, great sculpt, great plastic quality, great transformation, and a (Controversially) great truck mode! Basically perfect!
my favorite from this year is probably legacy bulkhead
For 2023 I'd like Studio Series 86 Bumblebee w/accurate canary yellow coloring, even if it's just a reuse of the Netflix mould, and the #1 figure for this year for me, (in my opinion) was probably Shattered Glass Soundwave, people say he's overrated, but shattered glass had a great storyline and the reuse/recolor of the Netflix mould is great
The only other Titan Metroplex, the WFC one, has individual fingers, so it might be more articulated

Yeah, the modern Dinobots . . . they look great in robot mode, and they look cool in dino mode, until you get back to the hips, and then it all goes to Hell in a handbasket, and I'm sorry, but Sludge is the worst of the ones I've gotten so far. Could've done with a little more work.
Imagine finding wave 3 Legacy, I’m from Kentucky and I just want my stunticons already.
I was excited to see what legacy would give us this year and couldn't wait to get arcee and knockout. Unfortunately I found both figures to be somewhat disappointing but the legacy line more than makes up for it with the elita1 figure. It's so fun and looks amazing, sadly I know I'm one of only a handful that appreciates the figure.
I can't wait to get the earthspark elita1 figure that's already been announced and I can't wait to see what figures come out of rotb
I actually have some of the guys on the list this year! Yay! I have metroplex and the fallen and they’re both amazing. I’m gonna wait until after Christmas to make a top ten list since I know I’m getting some stuff in Christmas but metroplex and fallen are definitely on the list
I pleased they waited to do the fallen ..considering how ..,odd some of those early ss figures were I'm not sure he would have turned out as good as this beauty
I have none of those! Except for the movie 1 leader optimus from way back. My stores never get the good stuff, always have to order online which takes some of the fun out of the search.
For me, this was the year I got into third-party stuff, starting with TE-01b. He was cool at first but his arm joints are lousy and I have a crack on the rails of one of his feet. Oof.
But I also picked up a handful of Magic Square legends this year, and I genuinely don't know what one I like most as they're all lots of fun to transform. Hound, Ironhide, Jazz, and Prime (Light of Victory). And I feel like I enjoy them for a reason lots of people don't; the feel of the materials.
Figures i got this year? Dam... Not necessarily a top ten, but a rundown of all the figures i got this year( wfc, studio series, legacy) Jazz, Dragstrip, Warpath, Crankcase, Barricade, Clunker Bumblebee, core Ratchet, Waspinator, SS core Shockwave, core G2 Megatron, Wingfinger, core Optimus Prime, Hot Rod patrol, Military patrol and Astro squad, and I am happy to say that I do not regret one of these purchases. Except maybe Waspinator, purely because I haven't watched beast wars, and core Optimus and Megatron, because I could have got the kingdom versions.
But my favourite has to be ss 86 Jazz. He is an almost perfect representation of my favourite G1 character, if not for the clear plastic roof.
This year? MENASOR!! But I got wait till march for my breakdown. However, he is the most solid tf I've gotten in forever and motormaster is flat out angelic
I got the Premium Finish Studio Series Optimus (Bumblebee Movie) because I missed out on the original version and it was more expensive on eBay than the PF for retail price XD . I think it is one of the best Optimus toys I have. It's so vibrant, it looks amazing next to every Bumblebee Movie character, and it totally makes an awesome centerpiece on my Autobot shelf. My only complaint is in Vehicle mode there are some gaps in the legs where they connect to the back of the cab, but otherwise it's awesome.
I got The Fallen too. Wow. Just wow. It is so good. I cannot emphasize how amazing it was as just a box of words and my pfp. Like Optimus it looks amazing next to everything I put it with. Of course the Alt mode is complete trash because you cannot create a robot that has so many curves and spikes turn into a space jet. I wish there were more orange highlights since the body is just black and smoky black and all the details are lost without looking closely, and the blue highlights need another color to compliment it. However, I can easily forgive it since I think the budget all went into painting the head, which I much prefer over the body in this case. The Fallen is going to be a Holy Grail 5 years in the future, and it had better be because it is the GOAT of Studio Series, more so than Devastator and the BB figures by far. And if not this figure than a Premium Finish version (if PF didn't get cancelled, I'm not really paying attention to that right now).
I also got Ironhide (from the box set, I missed the first version), Ratchet (also box set), and Sideways. They're great figures too, not to mention the BB figures. I think this year is one of the best for Studio series, since they've found a good balance between SS and SS86 figures and aren't just focusing on one or the other. I am looking forward to what next year brings us! Merry Christmas guys!
I didn’t buy a lot of figures this year, and I have pretty major problems with most of the ones I did buy. My ss49 bumblebee’s right wing broke because I dropped it from 3 feet high. The chest on my studio series blitzwing lifts up every time I try to move his arms. My mp iron hide has loose elbows. My mpm barricade feels like a pain in the ass to transform. I ordered two different upscaled third party studio series Optimus figures off of AliExpress and one of them came with a broken calf, and the other one has arms that like to detach from the chest.
I've only just started collecting Transformers since the start of this year (Yes, I Grew Up, sold ALL my Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards, and spent my money on Decent stuff from my childhood!!!), so my Top 10 list of purchased figures has a few oldies and eBay purchases in it, but, this is MY Top Ten Transformers Toys I Got in 2022:

2) Kingdom WFC Commander Ultra Magnus.

This is a really good list showing the wide range of improvements Hasbro has made in the last year alone. Haven't really collected in a good number of years as since I think the final wave of Prime toys the quality had decreased tremendously while the prices sky rocketed. Out of this entire list though I'd love to eventually find the Scourge redeco as it looks so much better than the Laser Prime release. Would love to compare it to the original. Cybertron Metroplex was really unexpected but does the original toy justice, and looks really good. Also agree that ROTF Leader Prime is about the best Hasbro will ever represent this guy from the live action movies. Not quite perfect, but so much better/accurate than studio series has managed in the Voyager scale. The real take away I guess is Hasbro has finally again been putting effort, and proper budgets into these toys which makes me excited to see if the rumored return of Armada Megatron, Optimus Prime will be worth the pick up in 2023 at the increased price points. As fun and durable as the originals were they could definitely use improvements/updates to the original designs/transformations.
my all time best transformer from this year is Override because i had the original and loved it, then it would be the new 3rd party armada prime that is coming out, then tied in third is the legacy armada hotshot and star scream
For my favorite, rn it's gotta be Legacy Metroplex, Legacy Transmetal 2 Megs, or Alien Attack Toys Optional Girl M3. All of them are so good in their own ways, I swear

That price for Fort Max is pretty damn good.
With the announced legacy animated Prowl, I'd love a Lugnut (preferably one who doesn't need to partsform) and Animated Wrek-gar. Outside that, I just want skyquake and Junkeons. They look awesome.
I didn't collect enough this year for a top 10 but my favourite definitely has to go to Legacy Motormaster with the 86 Movie starscream in second
Say what you want about bayverse movies but unlike the first cartoon movie, the bots there didn't die like cardboard cutouts.
In regards to RotF Leader class Optimus Prime: the HftD Voyager class Optimus Prime mold ("Battle Blade Optimus Prime") is also pretty awesome. Particularly the Walmart exclusive DotM Battle Hook Optimus Prime and Takara's AoE Movie Advanced Revenge Optimus Prime (Battle Blade Optimus in the darker color scheme of Takara's DotM Striker Optimus).
I'd be damned if SS bee movie Thundercracker is not on here (at the Galvatron part at the time of this being made)

Legacy was kind of the big stand-out for me this year, so I give my Top 10 for that line. I will say, however, that as of right now, I don't have Metroplex, Pointblank, or Inferno, but they are on their way and I will reply with an updated list if necessary.
Quick honorable mentions to SS The Fallen, 86 Ironhide, 86 Sludge, 86 Perceptor, and SSBB Arcee. They may not be from Legacy, but they are still great.

It’s my big problem with Laser Prime. I-I just can’t deal with how tall he is compared to what he should be
7:02 happened to me too many times. with legacy. Only one I felt good about buying at the price i did was Skids.
Other than him I have shockwave , arcee and starscream. And I'm already selling legacy shockwave because I found the CYBERVERSE deluxe of all toys to be better. And his alt mode is goofy ahh spider robot. And he comes with a blast effect too.
This year I actually did take photos of the newcomers at the end of each month to FINALLY make a proper list, I tried the last year but couldn't (Kingdom Grimlock won, though, I had too much fun with that one, even more than the Dinobot version), so I gotta get to ranking as I doubt I will get anything else this year because the economy sucks ass right now.
As for next year, I can already call it, lots of us want to but still haven't been able to get Dragon Megatron, that's probably be on a lot people's lists for this AND next year. As for something that actually will come out next year, I can already tell that Tarn is gonna dominate lists next year.

I've thought a lot about my top 10 figures of this year, and while I didn't include Third Party or figures I got that didn't release this year, it was still tough, cuz we got quite a few great figures this year. Ultimately, I decided on these:
1. Transmetal 2 Megatron
2. Cybertron Metroplex
3. Victory Saber
4. BW Inferno
5. G2 Jhiaxus
6. Bomb-Burst
7. Blitzwing
8. Cybertron Override
9. Cosmos
10. Scourge
I picked all of these for a variety of reasons, mainly just how much I enjoy them, I feel if I went solely off of how they are as figures, things would be different. I've also been switching around some of these cuz they're all so good. Bomb-Burst is maybe the biggest surprise for me, cuz I did not expect a Core class figure to be THAT fun, literally couldn't put him down for hours. TM2 Megatron may be recency bias, but he really does have a near-unrivaled presence for me, even compared to bigger figures like Metroplex and Victory Saber, the dragon mode just looks way bigger than it actually is, and the painting, sculpting, and articulation is incredible. Some of these are on here just cuz it's cool to have updated versions of those specific characters and to be this well done, like Jhiaxus, Blitzwing and Cosmos. I'm hoping next year is just as good, even if the variety isn't gonna be picking up much in the main line, it's still a lot of G1. Hopefully exclusive offerings help pick up the variety. Very interested to see that possible Beast Planet capsule program with G2 Grimlock, more beasts and G2 are always welcome. I am also excited to see yet another childhood Prime, Armada Optimus, finally get a proper update after 20 years!
Came across a SS Fallen 2 days ago and decided to pass. Now I’m regretting it.
I've been collecting transformers for about 3 years now and I have 16 so far.
So bad news say I got the fallen and took the things that connect the arms to the back are those important and if so is there a way I can get more because I can’t find them for the fallen
