So I'm new to toy colleting, I literally started this year, and I was surprised to see that the figure I got today made the list. I got core class Soundwave today. I'll definitely check out the other Transformers on this list.
1. Ss 86 Hotrod - Basically perfect, the engineering is worth the price for me 2. Siege Starscream - Adore the robot mode, articulation is great 3. Earthrise Wheeljack - Nice robot mode, really like the car 4. Ss Dino/Mirage - Love the design, both modes are great 5. Siege Red Alert - First time having this mold, such a solid figure
I respect your opinion, but i think seige starscream is a mid figure, because IMO, the transformation is really flimsy and annoying. One of my copies of the mould broke, RIP acid storm. also i think the extra parts get in the way. Nice list though!
1. Ss sideswipe. The vehicle mode sells the figure for me and everything else is pretty good 2. Ss thundercracker. Once you learn how to transform him properly he becomes awesome. His Moses look great and he has this certain chunk to him. 3. Ss blitzwing. He is the most fun ss figure to just mess with. He loses points for the shoulders and the vehicle mode being a bit lacking 4. Ss jolt. He has two really great modes that’s all there is to it. The backpack is a good example of how to make shell forming work. In robot mode it’s in intrusive, in transformation everything lines up and tabs in properly, and in vehicle mode it looks great. Only main issue I have is that the side skirts can be a bit cumbersome 5. This is a tie between Ss grinder and FOC bruticus. They both have some major issues. Ss grinder has two awesome modes but the transformation is a pain and after a month I’ve only properly lined everything up once. Bruticus is a bad figur but I still love it. The individual combaticons are meh but still somehow very fun with the exception of onslaught. In combine mode if you fan mode the arms it looks pretty good. Onslaught really drags down the set in all 3 modes. He’s only ranked 5 because I got the set used for $70. I wouldn’t pay much more than that. Those are my top 5 figures of 2021.
Kingdom Galvatron, and its comic variant, is God Tier engineering. It is so accurate to G1 it’s insane (Same with Cyclonus). I have both versions of it because I love the mold so much. My only complaint are the stickers on the G1 Comic one. I’m thinking of using metallic paint on the red and silver areas.
Dude I had number 15 when it came out. I had an absolute blast playing with it as a kid. I still have him though some of the pieces of the hover board are broken ( mainly the landing hook things) and the joint connectors are broken.
One of my holy grails is the Sam's club yellow version of the '01 RID Prime. I was able to find the "cab" part so I can at least display it in the basic bot form. Also, as for cleaning the dust off, look into car interior detail brushes. I use one of those along with a roll of shop towels and an air compressor.
Okay so my top 5 figures this year was, the Threezero Last Knight Megatron, amazing figure with excellent articulation for something that massive. Earth rise Scorponok, he's so much fun, best titan class figure to me. Seige Omega Supreme, he's a walking weapons platform and it looks amazing. Black Mamba Optimus Prime, holy crap that KO is oversized but is it a treat to the eye, might be selling it for the Threezero Optimus but he was still definitely top 5 figure for what it came with. And the Jiang Xing, Metal Beast, Beast Wars Megatron, cannot describe how amazing it is, robot mode excellent, dragon mode, spectacular. If you see this, btw amazing video and I love this top 20.
1. Planet X Cacus (IDW Grimlock) - Hands down, my all time favorite figure of this year and my all time favorite Transformers figure. He's literally perfection and was well worth the money and wait. His T-rex mode is perfect and captures the IDW design FLAWLESSLY, the robot mode again, FLAWLESSLY capstures the IDW design. Articulation is stunning, quality is stunning the only thing I can say that isn't stunning about him is the severe lack of parts clearance between transformations. Planet X just keeps surprising me with just how much they have improved as a company from their FOC Dinobot days, very much looking forward for their IDW Sludge figure that was announced! 2. Unique Toys Dragoon - Like most if not all unique Toys figures, it is black magic incarnate. Dragoon is such a beautiful piece to look at but PAIN to transform because there is so much going on and the both modes are just so smooth and so clean to look at. Outside of the transformation, the only flaws are the lack of a waist swivel, wrist joints are weird and the legs are pretty loose. 3. GCreations Wrath (Movie Grimlock) - A figure that was shown 4 years ago and seemed to have disappeared but I am so so glad that they released him. Movie Wrath is my go to movie Grimlock figure. He's basically a statue with details just beautifully painted and the parts are very brittle. The thing that surprised me was just how HEAVY he was especially in T-rex mode where the majority of his very dense plastic and die cast metal parts kind of just form up at. Smaller than I was hoping for (especially at the $300 mark) but, he is a stunning chunky boy. 4. Studio 86 Grimlock - I was very blown away when I got this figure since I wasn't all that impressed with the mainline figures (POTP kinda burned me on those) and the mainline studio series weren't doing it for me. So I gave the line one last chance and wow, I am not disappointed at all! He's simple, fun, and very addictive to pick up and transform. 5. Kingdom Paleotrex - a figure that I picked up on an impulse because I am a paleontologist who studies tyrannosaurs and this figure brought me back to my childhood when I would play with Bionicles and make all sorts of crazy shapes and forms with them. The weapons you can make out of him really remind me of Monster Hunter (which I am a very big fan of).This has to be my personal favorite from the very disappointing Kingdom line and I now have the urge to find more Plaeotrexs and make some super cool monsters and weapons out of them.
Nice diverse list. I picked up an Armada Skywarp in November and I think that 2022 will definitely include more Unicron Trilogy bots for me. I will no doubt pick up some bots from Legacy for my main Generations display as well. 🙂
Hey, if you're still looking for a brush for removing dust, look into car interior detailing brushes. There may not be the "perfect" brush, but you should be able to find firm bristle brushes, soft bristle brushes, and everything in between.
What I got this year isn't enough to rank, but I thoroughly enjoyed Earthrise Optimus Prime & Wheeljack, as well as Studio Series Starscream and Blitzwing from Bumblebee. Titans Return Octone was pretty fun to get too
For one, I wasn’t expecting to see a bionicle on this list. For two, I didn’t expect it to be one my little brother actually had when we were kids. I’m pretty sure it’s still in a box with our other 2000-2010 Transformers and bionicles. We used to use bionicles as protoforms for our transformers when we’d play.

I have the NBK version of Gravity Buildier and like I remember the first time I was going into Devastator form that the Devastator head broke off on me with no force or anything. Had to buy another of the guy that has the head.

Doesn't really count for transformers but the best "figure" I got was Bandai's RG EVA-00. Yea you have to build it but the inner frame construction and articulation is mind blowing for a snap together kit. That's all I got. Happy New Year Kids!
1. Iron Factory IF-EX44 Ultra Magnus. Got him for 80 USD. 2. GCreation Fuuma. Very expensive and the transformation for some of the modes leave a lot to be desired, but overall an awesome MP-scaled Sixshot and definitely more visually appealing than Fans Toys Hydra (and cheaper!), since I got him for 150 USD. 3. Planet X Vulcun, Metallic ver. My first Grimlock toy ever, he'd rate higher if his legs didn't toe the line with breakage every time I transform him. 4. Shattered Glass Megatron. Not much to say about him other than he was well worth what I paid for (around 25 bucks) and has that clean off white look. 5. MMC Kultur. I vastly overpaid for a ten-step figure with just a few points of articulation and not much else for poseability. He looks super cool though.

Here’s my top nine figures: 9.SS Stinger He’s an ok figure,transformation was ok but mine was fidly,but I still like it 8.SS Jolt He’s awesome tbh,but because of the QC issues I’ve been trying to be very careful 7.SS roft Bumblebee Care mode is better than the 2007 one,however mine doesn’t like to tan in perfectly,but it’s my favorite Bumblebee mold so far 6.Kingdom Optimus Primal He’s good,the posing is great,the transformation is great,he looks good and the gorilla mode,or as I like to call it,monke mode is good too. 5.SS Sweep He’s sort of to me like a back up mold if you couldn’t by SS Scourge,however my pivot doesn’t work,it just poops back up 4.Kingdom Cyclones and SS Hot rod Let’s start with Cyclones,he’s good,he’s very accurate to his on screen model and very articulated,however,he’s “too plain” to me.Hot Rod is really fun,he’s super durable and very articulated,and I’m a huge Hot Rod fan,the car mode is also sick 3.SS Grindor He’s big,he’s almighty,he’s also just Blackout with a different color skin,and my favorite part,he has wrist swivel,papa Jobby would be proud.his transformation sucks,not like lift ticket or MPM Starscream bad,but still wobbly 2.Kingdom ultra magnus That’s it,he’s so fun,I love him,that is all 1.Kingdom Rodimus Prime Oh.My.God.This figure is extremely fun and very good feeling,he’s super articulated,very dynamic,engineering is brilliant and fun,and I’m gales I got this,I was trying to get it earlier before this day but the prices were like 300$(I kid you not)so I patiently waited and couldn’t find anything,until I went to a store in my country named More than Toys and I went to pick up an ultra magnus,and I turned to the left and I saw this bad boy at 60$.Now I would be a fool to not take the offer. side note this is from last year. but i'm telling you about it now. uh yeah when i first heard about naval commander (armada optimus prime) i was excited for it and so i waited and as more photos of it non painted came out i got even more excited for it and as more time passed and it finally got it's paint job i was really even more excited for it and when i saw the price for it $184 i was good with that because last year i had $300 in my wallet and i was ready to pay for that price but i decided to hold off because i wanted to hear about reviews and such and well as time went on my heart was broken as i heard it was going to be over $200+ because of a extra $50 shipping every toy website had it listed as that even showzstore had it listed as that and i didn't want to pay for a $200 toy because if i did i wouldn't hardly have anything left in my wallet i wanted to spend half and leave half and i got more bad news about naval commander that it was breaking and falling apart in places that it shouldn't and breaking my heart even more and i felt really bad for the company that made that for them to get bad news for it,all of that hard work for nothing and so i looked for something else and i found earthrise scorponok for $160 with free shipping and so i put a order for that and i love it,because for years i was jealous of people having three foot robots and now i finally have one and the next thing i know three upgrade kits were made for it,i need to put orders for those. rip naval commander (armada optimus prime)

It's a shame the clear plastic for the windshield pieces breaks so easily on Wheeljack. It really ruins a otherwise fantastic figure.
Is Starscream worth it over other g1 jet style deceptions like Blitzwing etc.

Try using slime toys for dust. Brush the crevices with a hard brush and run the slime in the area.

Doesn't really count for transformers but the best "figure" I got was Bandai's RG EVA-00. Yea you have to build it but the inner frame construction and articulation is mind blowing for a snap together kit. That's all I got.

Ah! Beef'a-mus Ambus takes the top spot. I told you this figure was a sleeper. It is my very favorite transforming toy I own, and now you know why.
1. Iron Factory IF-EX44 Ultra Magnus. Got him for 80 USD.
2. GCreation Fuuma. Very expensive and the transformation for some of the modes leave a lot to be desired, but overall an awesome MP-scaled Sixshot and definitely more visually appealing than Fans Toys Hydra (and cheaper!), since I got him for 150 USD.
3. Planet X Vulcun, Metallic ver. My first Grimlock toy ever, he'd rate higher if his legs didn't toe the line with breakage every time I transform him.
4. Shattered Glass Megatron. Not much to say about him other than he was well worth what I paid for (around 25 bucks) and has that clean off white look.
5. MMC Kultur. I vastly overpaid for a ten-step figure with just a few points of articulation and not much else for poseability. He looks super cool though.
My NBK devastator is fine. Hips are a little loose but overall still fine

Care mode is better than the 2007 one,however mine doesn’t like to tan in perfectly,but it’s my favorite Bumblebee mold so far

He’s good,the posing is great,the transformation is great,he looks good and the gorilla mode,or as I like to call it,monke mode is good too.
5.SS Sweep
He’s sort of to me like a back up mold if you couldn’t by SS Scourge,however my pivot doesn’t work,it just poops back up
4.Kingdom Cyclones and SS Hot rod
Let’s start with Cyclones,he’s good,he’s very accurate to his on screen model and very articulated,however,he’s “too plain” to me.Hot Rod is really fun,he’s super durable and very articulated,and I’m a huge Hot Rod fan,the car mode is also sick
3.SS Grindor
He’s big,he’s almighty,he’s also just Blackout with a different color skin,and my favorite part,he has wrist swivel,papa Jobby would be proud.his transformation sucks,not like lift ticket or MPM Starscream bad,but still wobbly
2.Kingdom ultra magnus
That’s it,he’s so fun,I love him,that is all

Oh.My.God.This figure is extremely fun and very good feeling,he’s super articulated,very dynamic,engineering is brilliant and fun,and I’m gales I got this,I was trying to get it earlier before this day but the prices were like 300$(I kid you not)so I patiently waited and couldn’t find anything,until I went to a store in my country named More than Toys and I went to pick up an ultra magnus,and I turned to the left and I saw this bad boy at 60$.Now I would be a fool to not take the offer.

(armada optimus prime) i was excited for it and so i waited and as more photos of it non painted came out i got even more excited for it and as more time passed and it finally got it's paint job i was really even more excited for it and when i saw the price for it $184 i was good with that because last year i had $300 in my wallet and i was ready to pay for that price but i decided to hold off because i wanted to hear about reviews and such and well as time went on my heart was broken as i heard it was going to be over $200+ because of a extra $50 shipping every toy website had it listed as that even showzstore had it listed as that and i didn't want to pay for a $200 toy because if i did i wouldn't hardly have anything left in my wallet i wanted to spend half and leave half and i got more bad news about
naval commander that it was breaking and falling apart in places that it shouldn't and breaking my heart even more and i felt really bad for the company that made that for them to get bad news for it,all of that hard work for nothing and so i looked for something else and i found earthrise scorponok for $160 with free shipping and so i put a order for that and i love it,because for years i was jealous of people having three foot robots and now i finally have one and the next thing i know three upgrade kits were made for it,i need to put orders for those. rip naval commander (armada optimus prime)
