    There's a distinct lack of good demos with the VT-4.
    Apart from this one. This one makes me want it.

    Brilliant. The Vocoder effect reminds me of Imogen Heap’s wonderful Hide & Seek track.

      Does the sound come via the unit and/or the sound on the Ableton track? How did you create the uh oh oh part? The midi could be the selling point. Around 7:10

    I bought a Yamaha MU100R rack module in 1997, that came with a PLG100-VH board inside. The board does everything the Roland does, although the reverbs and audio input etc are handled by the host device (MU100R). I just used it for backing vocals in Rock and Prog Metal tracks, blended in with non-effected vocal harmony tracks. Gave a very unique sound in a nice way.

    • @PANTA-Music
      @PANTA-Music Před 5 lety

      vocalisers are ment for vocals. But you could connect a drum to it, if you want to be experimental. A synth would be overdone, since the harmoniser is, infact, a synth on it's own. Plus, you need keys anyway because the harmonizer needs a midi input to play chords or notes while singing/talking. (Two keyboards, just to get one sound would be a bit overkill. ) But if you are into heavy experimental music, sure. If not, you just stick it with vocals.

I am talking about for example the Eventide Blackhole plugin which is so much better and now they are also launching their fantastic plugins for the IPad. Hey Blue Sunset- of course! I am also a big fan of these- but have you ever tried using these plug ins live? I think Antares is pretty good- but third party plug ins add alot to your CPU in ableton for performing live- plus in my experience anything with a formant shift or voice mod is too latent for usage in a live performance set up- this is why I rate this little thing haha! Yes fingers crossed that would be awesome- hope I answered your question xxx
