I’m 100% a mood reader. I’ve tried sticking to a tbr, but it always puts me in a reading slump. I’ve learned to either read what I feel like or if I want to finish a series that I’m not feeling that into, I read a 2nd book that is the mood read along with the tbr one. It usually becomes like 2-3 mood read books to 1 tbr book.

Totally understand this - I read a really juvenile ‘Lit RPG’ book at the weekend, but it was just the perfect thing for a lazy read. It had a talking cat, what can I say 😊
reading slumps are actually so terrifying, i had a 2 year slump a few years ago and thought i would never read another book. thankfully i got out of it and im reading to my hearts content but i was so sad 😂 absolutely in LOVEEE with the new nails, your nail tech slayed. i relate so hard with the appointment anxiety, if i know i have an appointment that day i can’t do anything before hand out of fear i’ll miss it even though i know there’s plentyyy of time. also big congrats on 16k! much deserved 🤍

I’m more of a mood reader, if I’m not it a mood to read a book I will put it down and read something else until I am in the mood and mindset to read the book I put down. Love these videos. I also love the way your 💅 nails came out very pretty 🤩 ❤🥰💅💅

I'm definitely a mood reader and prefer that when picking my books to read. It makes reading a lot more entertaining and enjoyable. I definitely do bounce between genres as well which is great as variety, as they say, is the spice of life 😊

Mood reading is the best. I set myself a tbr every month but never tend to stick to it just because I'm such a mood reader 😂

I’ve never done a TBR and i’m sticking to that honestly bc mood reading is the only way to read! Also what do you do for a living? It always seems like you work from home and have lots of time to read which i’m so envious of
i only work from home two days a week! the other 3 i am in the office, i just don’t film on those days as there’s no sunlight left by the time im home🤣 i work in clinical trials research!
Currently trying to finish the shadow and bone series on the 3rd book (I need to finish it before I can finally start six of crows) I'm struggling it's been 3days I've still not finished it.. 😑
I did a complete switch and started stalking jack the ripper and loving it. Mood reading is key if a books not flowing put it down start another.

I've been trying to be better at planning reading vlogs farther in advance so I can sprinkle my planned tbr books in between other reads for this exact purpose, I fear reading slumps haha
I feel like these types of videos show off lesser known authors whereas I feel like set tbr videos tend to use books that are already talked about by a lot of book tubers

I read Darling Venom this month and it felt so long and so problematic. Definitely would not recommend it.
