    Can you substitute regular flour and omit the pectin

      @@OttolenghiIn that case: Can or should the dough be handled less tenderly? Can I cut them into squares and spread them apart? Why are they classed as scones rather than biscuits? Could you serve them with coriander butter and/or buckwheat honey?

      Also, I only have a 3-cup food processor, so I’d rather use my hands. (Besides, I love working cold butter into dry ingredients with my fingers. There’s something about it that’s just so satisfying.) Do you have any suggestions on combining the ingredients without the fp?

    Thank you lovely Verena! I will make these and top with many extra sesame seeds :) I love sesame and feta together.

    Cheddar lifts everything, even feta😊

    First time I discovered Zaatar, olive oil, feta cheese on pita bread was in Lebanon. A Greek diplomat once told me that the word feta isn’t Greek, it actually came from the Assyrians, and the Greeks had close ties and trades with the Phoenicians (Modern day Lebanon).

      Seems it could also do well with some more nutty kind of flour? Part buckwheat or spelt.

    These look scrumptious. may I ask, why. Did you decide to use gluten-free flour? And can I use regular flour here?
    Thanks a lot

    • @Ottolenghi
      @Ottolenghi  Před rokem +3

      The recipe was originally created for a gluten-free theme but you can substitute same quantities with regular flour.

    What does adding the greek yoghurt and cream do to the overall texture? Are these added for flavour or to do with the gluten free flour?

  • @agithehun

    How do I have to change the recipe if I want to make it w/ regular flour? Same amount? (I agree w/ the comment below re: Serena's scarf collection which is splendid)

    • @Ottolenghi
      @Ottolenghi  Před 6 měsíci

      Yes, you can replace with regular flour to the same amount (and we all love her scarves!)

    • @Ottolenghi
      @Ottolenghi  Před rokem

      Almond flour won't work here, you'll really need a gluten free (or normal) flour.
