By hooking our attention, the word can enter our mind and change a whole belief for better or for worse. An example: You may believe you are stupid, and you may have believed this for as long as you can remember. This agreement can be very tricky, causing you to do a lot of things just to ensure that you are stupid. Then one day someone hooks your attention and using the word, lets you know that you are not stupid. You believe what the person says and make a new agreement. As a result, you no longer feel or act stupid. A whole spell is broken, just by the power of the word. Conversely, if you believe you are stupid, and someone hooks your attention and says, “Yes, you are really the most stupid person I have ever met,” the agreement will be reinforced and become even stronger.
Being impeccable with your word is not using the word against yourself. If I see you in the street and I call you stupid, it appears that I’m using the word against you. But really I’m using my word against myself, because you’re going to hate me for this, and your hating me is not good for me. Therefore, if I get angry and with my word , I send all that emotional poison to you, I’m using the word against myself. If I love myself I will express that love in my interactions with you, and then I am being impeccable with the word, because that action will produce a similar reaction. If I love you, then you will love me. If I insult you, you will insult me. If I have gratitude for you, you will have gratitude for me. If I’m selfish with you, you will be selfish with me.
Making this agreement is difficult because we have learned to do precisely the opposite. We have learned to lie as a habit of our communication with others and more importantly with ourselves. The power of the word is completely misused. We use the word to blame, to find guilt, to destroy. Of course, we also use it in the right way, but not too often. Mostly we use the word to spread our personal poison - to express anger, jealousy, envy, and hate. We use the word to create hate between different races, between different people, between families, between nations. Misuse of the word is how we pull each other down and keep each other in a state of fear and doubt.
If we adopt the first agreement and become impeccable with our word, any emotional poison will eventually be cleaned from our mind and from our communication in our personal relationships. When you are impeccable with your word, you feel good; you feel happy and at peace. You can transcend the dream of hell just by making the agreement to be impeccable with your word. Right now, I am planting that seed in your mind. Whether or not the seed grows depends upon how fertile your mind is. It is up to you to make this agreement with yourself. Be impeccable with your word. This is the first agreement that you should make if you want to be free. It is very potent. With the impeccability of the word, you can transcend the dream of fear and live a different life. You can live in heaven in the middle of thousands of people living in hell because you are immune to that hell. Be impeccable with your word.

Great example of the little girl and the frustrated mother. I experienced this as a little boy in church, they book said to ‘lift up your voice and sing unto the Lord’ so I did and my voice was loud! The pastor came to me and said not to sing so loudly, I was confused or embarrassed by that and I thought I sang poorly, but imagine if the other members of the church took a cue from this little boy and everybody lifted up their voices, could you imagine the song being sung with such vigor?
The word is the most powerful weapon to express and make real what we think, that is why we must think before we speak, because this is how happy or sad the reality of your dreams, your present or your future can be.
I just got off work and this guy Matt who is on my team told me about the richest man in Babylon book he was reading and so I’m in bed rummaging through CZcams about it and came across your channel, just so I’m not rambling I want to thank you so much for planting a seed on impeccably and how to incorporate it into my life and especially my relationship. I'm a certified dumby is most states, I'm just going to lay that down real quick. I love your content and the depth is brings. I just wanted to say, there has been a book that's been out for a long time and is a constant tool for learning and preaching and more learning. There are many similarities to what you're saying and what the Bible is saying. The biggest difference is believing in God with all your heart. That's not the point though, the point is by finding faith you find peace. And most of the time peace brings about heavenly feelings. To know that you're loved, to learn how to deal with inner self conflict, others opinions and misjudgments, and carefully place your own footsteps are all things learned when looking at our Father. I know, it may be weird or some might think it idiotic but, I'm just saying that the way we are brought up to live and the way we see how we should live makes a big difference, the freedom to choose what is right and wrong and reflect God's love is power. These agreements, to me, feel like the end goal is living a life that is positive and peaceful by self awareness. Which is groovy! And not to far from the Good News! Idk I could just be too tired to think properly but i figured I say something. Hopefully this comes across as positive. Religion can come across as forceful, putting a distaste in many mouths and can be used for bad or the interpretation may be skewed. That's not my intent here

Personally I'm not very religions but that doesn't mean that i dont think the lessons aren't valid.
Peace is absolutely the goal. Happiness is: peace in motion. My goal is to be permanently at peace or at least as much as possible. And a great place to start is with yourself and your environment.

Thank you very much. I came to see this video right after finishing reading the first agreement. I understand the concept of being implacable with my word. However, what if the person uses the black magic of the bed words against us? what the reaction should be? it explains that the action will produce the same reaction. Ik i can't handle bad words against me but is it the right way? to react the same?

So I was thinking if someone displays a cowardly behavior is it impeccable to voice it because it’s the truth? Since not bringing it up it would be a lie? And impeccable is without sin? I am struggling with this - Thoughts

Hi Dan. No reason. The character was already prepared with those clothes. Sometimes i reuse stuff because creating stuff takes so long, i didnt intentially make him a basketball player. I do get your reasoning though.
