For those wondering why isn't it greenlit yet, here's my theory on why.
The problem really isn't adult swim, the problem is that the show needs to be allowed to use characters from other said shows. And if all/some cartoons from cartoon network and adult swim say no. It makes it more impossible or impossible to make it happen, but like the creator said, never say never. Forgot to mention, Warner Bros, does own Adult Swim, and Cartoon Network too so if warner bros says no it most likely never will happen.

It was obvious that this was going to happen, he has to get the legal rights of many characters.
Pibby was not canceled (contrary to what some people in the comments say, they didn't even read the post)
But if Pibby is going to happen, be prepared to wait because until companies allow the guy to use their characters in the series/film (or whatever) it will take a LONG time.
And to be honest, I don't want to be pessimistic, but I don't think that's going to happen, even Pibby's creator doesn't think that's going to happen either.
