Just went last week wit the family and it was on point. I didnt enjoy the bottom shelf liquor, but it did the job. The food became a bit repetitive over 6 days, maybe we stayed too long. The beaches were a no-go due to it being so windy but it was hot enough to spend entire days in the pools. Very suitable for a much needed family vacation!

I'm looking to book Jamaica for next week. My niece said the rooms here are dated. She was there in June of 2023. This room looks very nice. Is there another Riu in Ocho? 🤔 I was going to stay at Jewel because she didn't like this hotel. It looks mighty nice to me.
There is one in Ochi Sistah. I went home last year fe two week. 1st week Inna Kingston Constant Spring & Whitfield Town, 2nd week Riu Mobay. Is ah nice hotel still and the customer service was professional. I'm Rasta and don't consume meat nor fish so my choices in food was limited, pure rice and peas longside tomatoe mostly. Personally nuh really Inna di hotel or resort ting, mi love Kingston fully, but mi rate Riu Mobay, enjoyed my reasoning sessions with the staff of professional workers Riu Mobay.

Pregunto porque estuve en Riu Los cabos y allí no había señal, primera vez que me pasa en un Riu.
No tuve ningún problema para acceder a wifi en la zona de la playa. Pero no todas las áreas tenían la misma intensidad de señal.

Is there a club inside this resort? That party looked fun.
There is no indoor club, there is a dedicated DJ area and dance floor within the resort. Yes it was lots of fun but it ends at 10 or 11pm i remember.
Yall have to stop advertising this place. I cant find any packages that have it now bc it's all booked up 😂😂

Rui is a popular vacation location for Jamaicans living in Jamaica. I am not aware of any hotels in Jamaica that prohibit Jamaicans. Maybe some guest houses and airbnbs are more discerning. But I have never encountered any issues with hotels and this practice.

Hi great tour I have visited this hotel a few times over the years the last time being the worst for its plagues of jelly fish which in habits use of the sea which is an important part of my vacation, is this still a problem as I noticed no one in the sea. It was so bad last time I was there we had to be moved. Apparently it has to do with the sand some places use on man made beaches & I noticed there was no reggae vibe which is an integral part of the real Jamaica people beware if you want a taste of the real Jamaica !!!

Thanks for sharing your experience ! We had no problem getting into the sea. There is no crowd in the beach video as it was shot in the early morning. There where some seaweeds that the hotel staff was removing in the morning.
Great tour, what room was this? Was it big enough for a baby crib/cot And two adults?
We booked "Junior Suite Garden View room" and it was spacious enough. Yes it should fit in a baby crib.
Does the junior suit garden view have a balcony ?
