I live in Munich and I've always been curious about the Deutsche Eiche. For someone as conscious of their body as I am, these places are the definition of hell, I don't think I'll ever be able to go to any gay sauna, so thanks for the tour 🙌

I've stayed at the hotel twice and like you, not the typical model of a hot guy, was treated well both times and had many interesting conversations with other patrons. While Germans tend to be very handsome, they are generally accepting of body types. I never felt out of place. Would go again given the chance.
This is the closest I’ll get to going to a bathhouse. Fascinated by bathhouses but not something I would be able to do. Thanks for the video

Hey, thank you for this vdieo! I've been to Boiler in Berlin and Magnum Sauna in Budapest. I never been to Munich. I will definitely visit this when I visit Munich. I'm living in Berlin :)

It’s so impressive that they have a doctor visit periodically for testing and provide condoms at the check in.
In Britain almost all the gay saunas have closed down. Outside London, the only people who go are old, and nothing ever happens. I used to go but stopped about twenty years ago. This sauna looks amazing but the test is whether anyone actually goes.
Visited this in 2006, it was great then too. Very good restaurant and hotel. Id love to go back but not sure how 52 year olds are welcomed.

Yes, it's a lot of history in this house!
I have been to different bathhouses in San Francisco and other cities in California. This bathhouse seem much larger than the ones that I have been to. This bathhouse also seem like it is also use for social gathering, not just for sex. This bathhouse also appeared much cleaner than the ones that I have been to. The bathhouses that I have been to usually played loud music and some have a DJ playing music, so I dont think I can sleep overnight if there are loud music, but some people don't mind it. I dont' know if this bathhouse have strict regulations regarding drugs use, but the bathhouses that I have been to have many people who are drunk or on drugs, especially if they just left the nightclubs and to straight to the bathhouse. Usually bathhouses are located in a remote dark areas away from the busy streets. This bathhouse appear to locate in a busy areas with a lot of apartments in the surrounding area. I don't know if closeted married bisexual men will feel comfortable going to a bathhouse near a busy areas where they can be spotted by someone they know. A lot of bisexual men or closeted gay men usually go to bathhouses to find sex. Unfortunately, some bathhouses in California shut down permanently after the pandemic due to strict regulations and low attendance.
They have strict no-drugs-policies. It's sad to hear that bathhouses in California shut down permanently.. :/ Greetings!

Germany is a country with stifling bureaucracy, the rudest and most sadistic people you'll ever meet and and a completely impotent contemporary popular culture. However the gay saunas in Germany are probably the best in the world.

It's not cheap... but normal for a german sauna.
@@insiderob that’s crazy. In Viennas most overrated historic sauna you pay 25€ for entry. That’s it. No time limit. And other saunas go for as low as 10€
