    I have updated the latest logic pro, but my iPad Pro, which is 12.9-inch in size and the third generation, obviously has a lot of difficulty running the latest version. However, it does not support AI tools for voice separation, which is unexpected. I have a friend who said that as long as the iPad supports logic pro, it will be supported. However, I checked it today and found that it does not support the Apple AI voice separation tool, which I am very sad about 😢😢😢

    These new major features are great, but I’m really disappointed that they weren’t accompanies with some quality of life minor improvements. Given the update history it looks like we’ll be waiting another 6 months before we see any too. Logic Pro for iPad is begging for MIDI learn so we can use knobs and sliders on USB and Bluetooth MIDI controllers. Being able to save and export individual audio regions would be very useful too.

      I also wish Apple would have added MIDI Learn with external MIDI controllers. This would be helpful especially for transport, cycle, and mixing controls at a minimum. Cubasis has had this for a long time. I recently purchased a Nektar lx88+, which worked well with Logic Pro on the Mac. But I am trying to transition to all iPad for my music production. All the hardware buttons and faders are useless with Logic Pro for iPad.

    Don’t mean to be a downer but these are pretty novel features compared to some glaring stuff they haven’t addressed. The update feels pretty lackluster for an Intel user. I did try the guitar bass and piano, meh i think Native Instruments has that covered for me. The session players don’t interest me for the style of music I make. Its a free upgrade so I can’t complain about but if I had the option to pay for stem separation I would. Hmmmm so it plays by itself… idk how I feel about that why not just get band in a box haha also I do t think Apple is bringing anything original or innovative to the table is all copying things from other apps that you can buy without a subscriptions I been using Logic Pro Mac forever. @edwardgarrido6628 Před 18 dny

      @@TheLogicProGuide I appreciate your videos and love you channel and enthusiasm anyway, to answer the question. Cubasis is $50 sometimes on sale for $25. Multitrack Daw is $10 for 32 Audio Tracks Audio Kit makes excellent instruments and they are free. Then you have apps like Pure Piano, iElektric, Sample Tank, Korg Module, for Separation you can use Moises which is also Free. Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of Logic on the iPad I just don’t want Apple to make it “Garage Band on steroids” where is the true creativity if everything is already played for you? Also what we really need is a Take Vault so we can make multiple passes of a phrase and then join and flatten the best of those takes. We don’t need a gazillion so so instruments I rather have less Instruments but more quality. Stem separation is nothing new Akai has it and it’s really good for only $10, Moises has it, Ripper has it, RX has it and they have had it for a long time and is t that more of DJ territory? Apple waited too long to release Logic on the iPad and I was so exited it came out but in my opinion it falls short and the only thing new that it brought to Logic was a subscription based app. Very disappointing not just to me but to a lot of people. There was a time when musicians came up with their own original riffs, licks, ideas, rhythm patterns, harmonic structures and melodies and all they need it was an instrument and a few audio tracks to create.

    • @edgaba
      @edgaba Před 18 dny

      Cubasis is $50 sometimes $25 on sale and you own it. Multitrack Daw is $10 and you own it. When you have an app playing for you there is no creativity. What we really need is a Take Vault (takes folder)

    • @TheLogicProGuide
      @TheLogicProGuide  Před 18 dny +1

      @@edgaba Cubasis 3 costs $50 plus if you want all of its sounds and functionality, you need to pay an additional $100 for all of its in app purchases.
      Logic is $5 a month for the full app, plus you can try it for free for a full month.
      Also, i’d recommend taking a closer look at the licensing agreement of any app you ‘buy’ before declaring that you ‘own’ it.

    • @edgaba
      @edgaba Před 18 dny

      @@TheLogicProGuide First let me say I enjoy you videos and love your enthusiasm with that said, by “own” I mean you don’t have to pay again and again to use it. I’ve had Multitrack Daw for 11 years and Cubasis maybe 7 years I’ve use them as a scratch pad and they work well. Since I usually record music in Logic Pro Mac I use Spectrasonics Plugins, NI, East West Samples, Swam, Arturia, UVI etc. So to me not all but most of the sounds that come on just about any iPad app well… there good but inferior in comparison. I think Logic on the iPad is a great idea but the implementation is taking a weird turn and with all these instruments that play themselves well… where is the creativity and the originality? Stem separation has been around for a long time. Izotope has it, Akai has it for $10, Moises has it for free not to mention Reaper but now aren’t we in DJ territory? Logic is great and if these “updates” work for some; and people are happy with them; all power to them. I just think that these are the things that dum down music creation and it could hurt more music learning. Why not come up with your own cool base lines or some fresh chord progressions and voicings? Is like using AI to write a novel or using AI to do a painting. By adding these features instead of actually adding pro features it becomes more of an app for Amateurs which is cool. Another thing is that it will not run on all iPads and certain features will not run unless you have the latest chip all that with the subscription based model is a turn off. So with the $5 per month logic (no pun intended) is it cheap enough? Sure! But now we have to buy an $800 iPad to run all the features so it just doesn’t make sense for some people. I will just stay on Logic Pro for the Mac. Logic Pro on the Mac and Logic iPad do not compare at all.
