Many women have seen a birthing ball before but may be unsure how to use them in labor. In this week's Midwife Monday, our CajunStork is going to break down the basics of how to use a birth ball starting with appropriate sizing, the difference between a birth ball and a peanut birth ball and basic exercises to have faster and easier labor.

Haha when I was in labor with my 1st they put me on a peanut ball and that was the worst, I did not want to do it! 😅 but I immediately felt the baby drop and contractions got sooo intense! After that it was only a couple of hours before the baby arrived!
I gave birth yesterday to my second child. They put a peanut ball in-between my legs and it made the pain so much more intense lol I had to kick it away after 2 contractions loolll I had a natural birth.
There's one other size of Peanut Ball to use for labor. The 40, 50 and 60 cm sizes can all be used in the bed, lying down or sitting up. The 70 cm is used for sitting on. The best size for a person will depend on their height as well as their flexibility and the position they're using. Each person will need multiple different sizes depending on the different positions they try.

I’m not even pregnant, but whenever I become, I’m using that ball on the hands and knees position in a birthing tub. I’m gonna grasp that thing for dear life. Have a fan bowing on my face and my fiancé rubbing my back lol
I am pregnant also I am going to be a mom of 4 I am having twins I am a mom and I am a flight attendant and I just had to clean up throw up on the plane also Gastro is so contagious. ( and then when I cleaned up throw up literally threw up In the bathroom also there was 3 throw ups in my flight today I literally threw up in the bathroom every time I had to clean it up (I almost had to get another FA to do it) FA stands for flight attendant
@@echoverigan8825 that sounds miserable😨. I’m sure another flight attendant would be more than willing to help you, given your situation. And with twins.. I give you virtual strength.

What do I pop the ball with if the ball pops
The food quality balls, like the ones in the video description, won’t pop unless you puncture it with something serious- a knife, dog bite, etc...
