I think they did for the record they reference - there's a video of it, it was the Cincinnati zoo exercising their cheetahs. If I remember right, it's not the fastest a cheetah ever has or could run, it's just the fastest they recorded accurately.
Bolt set 9.58 but when it comes to technique it’s all about Flo Jo. Obviously she is running slower than Bolt as she is female but that 1988 100 metres is perfection and for that reason I do not see it falling anytime soon.
Can you do an anysis of drive phase mechanics? Because it seems like these concepts for top end speed would apply differently for the initial acceleration
