Thanks, what boat do you run up? Carmen creek can be pretty skinny but definitely an awesome run.
At the time I had an 18' Wooldridge Extra Plus. Great boat for shallow water. I've upgraded to a 30' fiberglass but I sure miss the Wooly!
Is this Carmen Lake. 40 miles south of Ankorage? If so, have you seen the memorial that was put up after 6 men died in a plane crash there in September 1978. One of those men was my sister's husband. Would love to get a picture of the memorial (if it's still there) for her grown kids. They were 9, 7, and 4 when he died.

What boat is this? I like the center console configuration... Trying to decide on my seating pattern now.. Worried about center of gravity... keeping weight low..?
These are two 14' mini jet boats a buddy and I built. Unless you building a tower/top I wouldn't worry too much about keeping weight low. It does need to be low but more importantly is your center of gravity forward and aft.

My Tracker Jon boat hit the bottom by something like hard rock last year ,that time Wes on the channel by night,i drove 35 mi around,very horrible time for me.
