- In this video I shared new build empress arcana after the Apr 17th mage buffs.
With multiple changes to Arcanist, damage ceiling of Empress incresed by a lot, and I believe this
build has the highest ceiling of all empress builds if played right. If you have any further questions please leave it in the comments and I'll answer them.

i have 9 8 stone with barricade do there no RC choice for me. Can u share some advice for increase dps with barri? blade shields elixir affect with barri?

thanks for this video. I was curious about this build. I really enjoy the fact that it gives me a lot of cards, but sometimes, i'm sitting in this awkward place where i have nothing i can do... but cards in my hand... Is that normal?
Yea need lot of practice. 440 and swift spec strim build is a good option too
I'm curious, what's the level 9+ CD gem on COD actually for? Is it just in case you use scratch dealer out of boundless and call of destiny in boundless? It seems due to scratch dealer having +2s base CD, having a 9 on that and 7 on COD makes them line up perfectly.
when you start freestyling your rotation with lvl 7 cod gem you end up waiting or casting ruin without crit dmg buff

Quick question, wouldn't it be better if I upgrade CD gems first? Upgrading DMG gems is understandable for dealing more damage however, I would be stuck with event CD gems which means I wouldn't be on Boundless MP for a long time. I'm suffering from skills CD and I switched to Emperor for this reason.
yes cd gems can bring more dps increase from lvl 7 to 9s
hello good sir I was wondering if it is okay that I use barricade with this new build because I am too poor to replace all my barricade accessories right now.
you totally can but there's no reason to play barricade now I recommend switching it later for extra dmg!
i go spec swift on 440 empress, would that also work on evoke build or do i have to go back to crit?

Why 242 is better than 233 ? (3 bkue stacking skills) I’ve just started to play this class and I’m currently on an Empress 233 build, but I see all people play 242. In terms of stacking purple marks, is it enough to play only 2 blue skills ?
242 svoke build uses 3 stacking skills, call of destiny is a normal skill but with tripod you can use it as a stacking skills. svoke build is strong because you get much more card draws and you can boost your dps by using cards appropriately. Knowing how to flexibly change your rotations from the cards is not so easy but once you master it this build has much higher ceiling.
when upgrading to recommended gems from lvl 7, what would be the order of upgrade if it matters?

I just test this empress build in trixion, look like its only shrine in end end game with transcendence + elixir 40. At lower level for alts, emperor still do same dps but with way lower gear and way lower skill required on top of better stagger and counter.
transcendence and elixir is not huge, but gems, engravings, combat lvl, runes are pretty big. yes, I do recommend playing emperor for alts, as I mentioned in the video. Once you get 3x5+1 and all gems to lvl 9+, the gap is huge between emperor and this build. Also, this build has really good stagger, does more stagger than emperor for a short period of time.
Should I stay 440 build if I only have events gems plus COD lvl 9 gem? or can i swap to this already?

440 also needs lvl 9 cd gems and your cycle becomes difficult without lvl 9 gems but if you like this build why not?
Yo, i played emperor arcana for a while but parked her at 1600. You think empress will make it more enjoyable for me over all? If i get into it.
And another thing, what empress build would u recommend me to go with lvl 7 gems to practise it more
@@conjuringgg6036 No empress build is stronger than emperor with lvl 7 gems. empress needs some investment and practice to be stronger than emperor

ceiling for emperor got lower so I swapped to empress. plus it's super fun with more card draws
@@syla4115 How did ceiling get lower? If anything, ceiling would remain same, just easier because evokes detonate in 2 seconds now and star no longer screws you over
@@Vezuls you can't burst anymore with star card tech and evoke proc being 2s made it harder to fit in many yellow skills in 4s dmg card buff duration. It's not just me saying my own thoughts, just ask any good emperor player they will agree that ceiling is lower.
@@syla4115 hmm I disagree with that tbh. Ceiling seems the same at worst. The 2s evoke doesn't really make it harder to fit yellow skills in 4s dmg window, if anything it makes it easier bc the evokes proc quicker now.
As for the star card tech, I have mixed feelings about that. Like yes, you could optimize its usage, but that often resulted in you over holding a star card for when you'd eventually hit addiction anyway. Even now, you can dark res wait for the addiction tick, then keep casting and achieve the same effect. In fact, I'd say the burst potential is even greater bc instead of star + cull for instance, you could have cull + sov up for a dark res into addiction.
It was less of a ceiling thing and more of an optimization due to being forced to be in addiction anyway.
And just mathematically and logically speaking, more boundless uptime will always result in a dps increase as long as you're casting off cooldown. That's one of the biggest reasons a ceiling nerf is just unlikely.
Also, about evokes, you now miss less in raids, so in practice the ceiling wouldn't be lower.
@@Vezuls Sir I think you have a misunderstanding of what ceiling means. I agree that practical avg dps can be higher cuz of evoke becoming easier to hit and boundless mp uptime being higher due to star card change, however trixion parse DID get lower. It doesn't even have to do anything with meter, your trixion dps straight up dropped. Oh well if you insist that it didn't, well it did for not only me but literally all KR emperor players that I asked including guys like taemin or bulso as well. Now if you were to convince me I would like to see your play vods of before the patch and after the patch and I'll discuss with other KR arcana players to see if you have a valid point. Btw you're making a very dangerous conclusion of saying more boundless uptime = increase in dps because even before the patch emperor literally had close to 100% boundless uptime and you wanted to use star card or awakening during bursts with your atro for extra dps increase.
What about Barricade eng?

@@danjan7405 you don't HAVE to change, but not having a barricade allows you to swap those protection runes for actual useful runes (wealth, quick recharges, bleed). The weird thing about your setup is not having raid captain
@@danjan7405 swapping cd to hitmaster and barricade to raidcaptain will be like 4% stronger
I have a 9/7 barricade stone so I feel kinda stuck with it unfortunately 😅
