@@RubyXIII Yeah it's not practical lol, I have a Yamaha XJ6 for transportation, no car. I am 21 though so it's not a major issue, I don't do the groceries, or a whole lot of shopping

@@Nine.siixxx if he only runs Yamaha filters and oil under the warranty, they set he is good for a replacement if he can prove all of the oil changes are done with it. now if he as tuned the bike, I'm not sure they cover, it but if its stock they should.

So real. When I looped my bike I took it as a sign that I need to learn to be safe and master something before I go out and be reckless. Hope you get her fixed homie. I think she'd make a great track monster so you can still go and rip, but where it's safe to do so💙
Probably spun a bearing from a lack of lubrication, which is expected when doing a lot of wheeling, as it at least somewhat starves the engine of oil.
Stunters tend to fill the oil to the max level or just a smidgen above because of this.
Plus CP4 is pretty sensitive to bad lubrification. Lot of blown engines in track use

First video of an R1 motor blowing up,I seen,this could have been caused due to doing long wheelies,causing oil starvation,which led to an spun bearing anyways,I’m only 16,what do I know,good thing that you’re safe.

I windowed my block at Road atl earlier this year coming into T6 and know that feeling all too well.

Brother, this is coming from a guy that is 45 and have been blessed to live an extreme filled life, including riding bikes since I was 14. Dirt bikes, drag racing, and street riding. The fact of what you said when motor blew up and you said something’s maybe telling you to not ride is a voice you should listen to. I quit riding on the street 7 years because of that feeling…fast forward….all I do now is track days, much safer in controlled environment. It’s a numbers game young brother. Sometimes I think those signs can be GOD. Be safe. Hate that happened to ya

deer concern me on roads like that more than anything. as someone whose hit a large dog. and had a small deer that ran in front of me struck by an oncoming car and flipped back over my head ripping off my mirror, hoof cutting my neck, hair in my visor and turning my flashers on. had i not been cold, tucked behind my windshied i wouldve eaten it at almost 70

I'm in awe how easily you lifted it up going soo fast. Clearly you can tell I never rode a 1000. My last Bike was a GSXR 750 but even that took a little effort to stand up. And my first bike was a R6. Forget it that wa like a bicycle on the H.W. lol.

The amount of wet sump motors i seen break when wheelie at high rpm is staggering. Dry sumps never stop feeding oil to the top of the engine,,,,,be careful!

I had this weird feeling 10 years ago to get off sport bikes. Now I ride a grom but I've stayed riding enduros, dirt bikes etc. Can give up sport bikes yet still enjoy 2 wheels dude!

Wow this is surprising. I've owned 2 R1's. A 2008 & 2012 and both times Yamaha quality was top notch. I hope it all works out. At least you were safe.
You're not the only one. My 2023 R1 slung a rod at 5.6k miles. I was told that those crossplanes don't like the rev limiter, and I 100% hit that rev limiter under every bridge. It could have also been my tune, but I'll never know. But hey, I got a 22 s1k so I'm not complaining. I still miss my R1 though.

Dam this reminds me when the motor went on my bike it was at night on the highway I was going 110+ mph. I was like what the hell put the bike in Neutral & started coasting down the shoulder on the highway.

It’s just these bikes man. They don’t like all the wheelies, I’m pretty sure it starved the bike of oil at that angle. At least that’s what happened to my 2015 when it blew up. And then my new 2022 has had some major problems as well. As awesome as these bikes are, they are problems waiting to happen in my experience.
