@@BlakeTheBlueberry Me too, but Kirby just doesn’t sell as well as Nintendo’s top 5. Forgotten Land just recently hit 7 million sales despite being out for 2 years. But it’s still great, considering that Kirby games normally sell 1-2 million on average.

I feel so bad for Mario maker 2… if it got more sales it would’ve gotten more updates but Nintendo just cut ties.
I don't think it would have gotten more updates. I think they planned all the updates before release and after that, the devs went on to another game.
If sales meant something for updates, AC wouldn't have stopped after one year and MK8 wouldn't have gone without an update for so long.

Xenoblade 2 barely even getting on the graph on release should be considered a hate crime.
Xenoblade is nice, but I can’t imagine many kids playing it. The top charts are usually reserved for party games that kids would enjoy, as they’re the main audience for Nintendo.

There was a brief moment just last month where the Switch Eshop had a lowered price for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and it costed $39.99, it was so worth buying it at that point.

I hope they end up making a sequel. I only played through the first few worlds of the game but it was such a unique experience and that’s the kind of thing I want Nintendo to make more of.
It amazes me how popular AC became on the switch & they abandoned the game instead of continuing to update it all these years. Boggles my mind how they never added tortimer island mini games to ACNH.

Most of the developers for animal crossing are also the Splatoon developers. So almost all of their resources went into that game as they were prepping it for launch.

no es inercia.. Lo que pasa es que juegos como mario kart ea algo que todo el mundo puede jugar, son accesibles. La mayoria de las personas que tienen switch son casuales y juegan juegos como mario kart como si fuera un juego de mesa. Lo estas viendo de la perspectiva de alguien que si disfruta un juego mas elaborado, pero en realidad la gente solo se quiere divertir 30 minutos y ya. Tu lo ves de la perspectiva de un gamer mas metido en el hobby, lo cual esta bien, pero esos juegos mas casuales venden porque son divertidos, no por "inercia". Decir que Xenoblade es "mejor" es un argumento muy basado en tu perspectiva y experiencia 👍🏼 yo argumentaría que Zelda debería ser el mas vendido porque es el que yo considero "mejor" entre todos los juegos que estan ahi.

I like how you noticed the "climbing" aspect. Out of all the areas (which you traverse through stairs), this dungeon really feels like a climb to the top of the world, to Rayquaza, the legendary Pokemon of the atmosphere.
Edit: I see the comments praising PMD Explorers, and it is the best game of the series! But don't sleep on Super Mystery Dungeon! The OST is fantastic, and 3DS-based.

I still remember picking up Animal Crossing during March of 2020. I wanted it physical, and I had to wait for GameStop to open. It was only limited to 5 people and we all had to wear masks. Animal Crossing was such a perfect game throughout the pandemic

Animal Crossing really hit a home run by being the game that was released right at the start of the pandemic era
For those wondering, the only reason Mario Kart 8 is in 1st is because it is a bundle game. Literally any time someone bought the bundle, it counted as a sale for MK8.
Well because normally bundles cost more but people buy the bundle with Mario kart 8 because they had already plan to buy Mario kart 8. When it first came out it wasn’t a bundle deal that some millions and that’s probably why Nintendo bundled it
People has the option to buy the console for $300 and buy the game separately, or buy a bundle for $360, it's the same thing, people choose to bought the game anyway, and the bundle just exist because Nintendo knows that people wants mario kart.

I'm surprised to see Mario + Rabbids being up there for a long time. It is a good game, but Sparks of Hope improved everything that the first game did, and the sales were pretty bad in that game... which is sad cause I think Sparks of Hope is a really underrated masterpiece of a game.
The Mario + Rabbids series became my favorite series of all time somehow. I played Kingdom Battle and became hooked, and I didn't hesitate to purchase Sparks of Hope after that. I hope the dispite the bad SoH sales, Ubisoft makes a third installment and it would be okay if it was the final one. I think the series needs to at least be a trilogy.
Super Bomberman R was one of *those* games. People played it because they didn't want to play Legend of Zelda alone. And also because there was no Mario Kart game released.

It's funny how they left completely abandoned New Horizons when it sold so much, like the dlc that was like Happy Home Designer is cool but they could at least add new fishes, fossils and insects to the museum, or add new furniture or new dialogues for the villagers, it's a shame because after the first year of playing ACNH you don't really have much to do
