Great Vid thx! i have a 2 bank charger and was wondering if i can charge my wife's WallyMart AGM! the Deltran URL is very deceiving and unless you read it closely (and not look at the centerfold, errrr... the pic) it does state "Plus", although what guy actually reads stuff? we just look at the pics! LOL! **Included is a quick connect ring terminal harness for hard-to-reach areas and alligator clips for an alternate connection. Perfect for all lead-acid, flooded, or sealed maintenance-free batteries (AGM and gel cell).
I charged my first XS Power D3400 on the Tender Jr, worked perfect and have one currently charging on it, now the one I have states compatible with AGM so not sure if older ones did not but an AGM battery generally likes a slower steady low amperage charge unlike your standard lead acid which charges at a faster higher amperage, a regular higher amperage charger WILL damage your AGM, at most go 10% on that batteries stated Ah. I always go the low amperage route for the best battery life and mine are putting between 14.4 to 14.6 volts out and that is under tremendous stress from 6200 watts of power amplifiers.
All I know is that this specific 4 position Charger killed my very expensive AGM battery. And then I did the research and found that only certain Battery Tenders are designed to charge AGM batteries, as you mentioned. It really should have been advertised and talked about more by Battery Tender w/ the proliferation of AGM batteries. I switched back to a good old lead acid, Interstate MTP 65HD and haven’t looked back.
Its a atv battery but its still agm maybe the plus does not do this ? But polaris told me alot ppl kill their batteries with these but maybe ppl don’t use the plus too ? Thanks dude

Yes, to this. I used the battery tender Jr and it ruined my AGM battery, am currently looking to buy another battery. Rather bummed out.
