    I tried to be a tea person, but it always just tasted like hot floral water to me. I'm becoming a green tea convert after working at a restaurant that has green tea shakers with a blood orange syrup. Instead of drinking a liter or two of Dr Pepper ever shift, I drink about 64-80 oz of green tea. It's helped me feel less bloated and I think it's also contributed to some weight loss, but I'm switching jobs again and I need to start making my own. Cold Brew seems like a good option for my lifestyle, but I like the delicate, fruity notes and dislike the savory, grassy, and floral notes. I'm going to try the yamaga

      There is a huge difference between these herbal infusions and super flavorful green tea. Once you've had these it can be difficult to go back the the floral infusions you were describing! Yes, the Yamaga is a wonderful choice, certainly one of our most popular teas. You can get it 10% off for Black Friday: nioteas.com/products/fukamushi-sencha-yamaga-no-sato

    • @Nioteas
      @Nioteas  Před 2 lety

      this will shake it up but it will also release more bitterness

    Is genmaicha good as a cold brew? I have genmaicha and gyokuro and I prefer genmaicha so I didn’t know if that would work as a cold brew or not.

    • @Nioteas
      @Nioteas  Před rokem

      yes it works quite well, brings out more of the caramel flavors. We just launched a new gyokuro genmaicha if you want to try it out: nioteas.com/products/gyokuro-genmaicha

    Could I put a lemon/lime in the pitcher when letting it rest to infuse the flavor?

    • @LT_PL
      @LT_PL Před 2 lety

      lemon - yes but cut off the skin and those white skins off cause if i remember corectly, after while they turn bitter, otherwise you can use just a dash of citric acid (it comes in sugar-like consistency) - it provie sourness but without bitter factor

    I read there will be less caffeine when cold brewed. Is it okay to do a hot brew first then cool it? Can't seem to find any content of this.

    • @Nioteas
      @Nioteas  Před 8 dny

      you can hot brew the tea and then cool it down but then the extraction will be different. The cool water extracts less of the caffeine and catechins but given enough time it will extract just about everything

    I brew my green tea bag with hot water, is it normal to have cloudy green tea?

    • @Nioteas
      @Nioteas  Před 2 lety +1

      cloudy isn't necessarily a bad thing but you should try to compare it to loose leaf tea! I think you'll see a big difference

  • @spartacusyamaguchi6239

    Is cold water mean take water out from a fridge? I watched a lot video how to make a green tea and all of them says use cold water and it looks like they using room temperature water so I'm confused. just want to make sure which one is right

    Does cold brew green tea have same health benefits and caffeine content as hot brewed?

    • @Nioteas
      @Nioteas  Před 10 měsíci +1

      it will have less caffeine and it might not have as many health benefits because the cold water doesn't extract as much from the tea
