Some of these conditions present the individual with all kinds of challenges for example girls born with a XY chromosomal condition go through hell as teens because even though they are born female, they don't go through a normal sexual development. Likewise boys born xx male syndrome can have developmental and hormone issues as well. Some of these Chromosomal conditions are intersex conditions and some have fewer problems for the individual.

There are people who identify as blind, and have actually blinded themselves, and people who identify as limbless, who have had amputations. It’s about not losing touch with reality. People can represent any way they want to, and I would politely use the pronouns they’re comfortable with....but, you simply can’t argue with the fact that biologically, you ARE male or female. Nothing changes this. It’s this loss of all common sense that is irking me. Biological males have a huge advantage over biological females. Stronger bones, muscles, stamina, etc. that’s why they ALWAYS win. It’s not fair. Girls and women who have worked for years only to have a man come in and completely obliterate them. Violent, reactive activists are to reasoned debate as garnish is to a meal - something often pushed to the side. It is good souls like you that will be looked upon as the vanguard of gentle, deep change in our world. This is a very good and rational representative of the trans community. The funny thing is: With trans women such as her, it somehow comes natural to refer to them as "she" out of respect. Because respect is earned, and showing respect isn't that hard. But when someone DEMANDS respect, through law or shouting/screaming/harassing.... that's when nobody wants to play along. I know several trans people and I think Catherine is right when she says trans activists don't really represent most trans people. The issue has become politicized and is no longer about rights, it's about control. I think most trans people just want basic respect and couldn't care less about all the politics. It's also good to see Kate back on TV again. I don't always agree with her but I appreciate her sensible approach to the trans issue and many other issues as well.
