    I personally thank you for this info. The majority of my family dies due to lung cancer. My mother was scanned an they found a mass and said to come back in one year. She did and they said ok but stop smoking. I was born nicotine addicted in the womb and times were differant. I was around the heavy 2nd hand smoke all my childhood,then suffered depression very young and didn't even know what that was..might alone started to smoke at the age of 12. I'm 47 now and last year they found large mass in right lung. 4 times bigger than my mother's. They scanned ed again and said stop smoking. I had already been trying and had tried everything Drs could help me stop. No more talk about it but said Insurance would only cover once a year scan.!?!? I've tried to get a biopsy with no luck! I'm wheezing within 3 months horribly. Know blood coming up and have 14 other disabilities! Only been told after begging for biopsy...that we will try but your to poor afford test,and not even call backs after being told about seriousness and true needs to prevent it spreading/catching it in a treatment stage! So I thank you so much for info that all Drs haven't even explained to me. I guess I'm a human less than keeping alive and cost more than yrs of me paying taxes and a contribitor to worth while. I thank you very much for your info...that thousands of dollars couldnt make me worth.

    Great video. Dr. Agrawal, Do you play on doing a video on Lung Cancer TNM Staging for the 8th edition? I think that would be an amazing topic that you would break down very effectively/efficiently.

    2 nodules were seen in my lungs . 6mm and 12mm . Pet-scan . Biopsy also done . Only inflammatory cells came out . Pulmonologist doesn't know he says . Wait 4 months and then ct-scan again to see if they have grown . Still , there was a moderately increased metabolism in the nodules . Cysts are also present in the lungs . The stretch is out of the lung , the doctor said . Also have livedo reticularis everywhere . I recently read article sarcoidose- livedo . Do you know anything about that ? Article was online .

    And now a quarter
    She hasn’t had the money to get this screening, it was just x ray
    I hope we can get enough money for her to get this CT scan
    But it doesn’t sound good
    Thank u for the video very informative

    Great Presentation. My Question is, to be eligible for the screening you have to above 50 years alone or need to have a smoking history too?

    Dear Dr. Agrawal, I meet age criteria in your list but I have never smoked AND I have no symptoms. Am I eligible for screening? It is not clear to me if I need to meet ALL the criterion OR just any one. Thanks for informative videos.

      @ThoracicRadiology  Před 2 lety +2
