In the second half we were decent. In the first half no. The players got big headed after the great run. We have certain positions and players who aren't on form or international level, mainly at the back.

@@stevengallagher635we were shite from the first whistle - we didn't create a single chance with 70 minutes of posession, nobody showed any heart, nobody took a risk, nobody even ran for goodness sake - Clarke needs to tell these guys that if they don't put in a shift in our last two games before Germany, they won't be on the plane because that was utterly pathetic

That seemed pretty evident to me rightly or wrongly.
Scheduling what is basically a home nations derby where one side has far more to lose than the other is down to the SFA and poor scheduling.
Had there been something on offer for Scotland then we probably would've witnessed better certainly more commitment.
Christie was one passenger who looked this way, Armstrong did more in his 15 minutes than Christie, NIreland showed commitment in putting bodies on the line defending for their lives, but for me the SFA have to take responsibility for their choice of fixture.
We really ought to be playing against other qualified nations in friendlies so close to the finals , this way both sides have the same issue to deal with

Shame on Scotland, playing Andy Robertson full 90 minutes and again against Ireland. Instead of giving him a rest during friendlies, now he is injured.
So much wrong. He’s genuinely beyond infuriating. Why are there no natural wingers in the squad? Why is he not selecting other players such as Conway, Hardie etc whose form is absolutely deserving of at least a chance. Porteous for better or worse is our best option at cb, not picked. Patterson, absolutely shocking, plays the 90. Hopefully we can get a more logical forward thinking manger after what is likely to be a terrible showing this summer.

Credit to the Northern Ireland fans who sang from the first minute all the way to the end. They produced the only atmosphere in the stadium.
This was a super boring match to be at and Northern Ireland got lucky to get away with the win.
Patterson with consistent mistakes through the night and also leading to the goal that lead to the one shot on target going in.
The tartan army was silent last night but due to what was happening on the pitch I'm not surprised.

@@AlanMorton-cz9ut that’s one of the worst performances by Scotland since the 4-6-0 Czech Republic game. Northern Ireland played like they were the team going to euro 2024. It’s worrying as we were pretty much at full strength on paper. Tactics were shocking side to side and to the back and wasteful in the final 3rd. When we pressed them and played fast on the counter we caused them problems and we look dangerous. That was rare last night. Horrible performance and horrible to watch. Bring on Gibraltar
Almost all of that is true. But they scored with a deflected shot and then the rest of the time were defending ! Look at the passing and possession. These are the factors that indicate wether a team were out classed. Not the score line. Did Scotland play well no ! Did they deserve to win ! No. Is it a very concerning result … yes ! But were they out classes , just no ! It was a very bad night at the office, one to many of course but Scotland still have class there ! Problems as well but class remains .

Meaningless friendly lol, it’s your preparation for the Euros, Stop making silly excuses and give some credit, Northern Ireland were very well drilled and organised and Scotland simply couldn’t play through them and had to go wide and put crosses in we’re they were poor, this is a very young inexperienced NI team and they done a job on Scotland tonight, the game was played like a competitive game by both teams.
Why we lining up like that at home we gave too much respect formation wise an didn’t look bothered on the pitch

Fickle fans as usual - games like this are to try different things which sometimes don't work out simples. I would rather lose games like this and play like we did against the Dutch, Spain etc. Yes players are out of sorts but to be clear suspect players are looking at the weekend games as well. Its not down to just one player not playing for his club either Clarke cannot influence that so he needs to find a right back who is if thats the case. So reign it in you lot and lets see how we do against Gib and the Fins. If we win them all this will be forgotten
