Hidden Fates is quite possibly the most possible Pokemon Card Set that has ever been released. Massive amounts of reprints could not slow down demand for this popular set as Pokemon Card Fans flooded to the stores trying to get a chance to pay MSRP for Hidden Fates.
An extremely large reprint slowed down demand as Pokemon Card Fans were hit with an overwhelming supply. However, with the secondary Pokemon Card Market still extremely high for Hidden Fates Booster Packs, it was tough for even the Most Degenerate Pokemon Card Collector to rip Hidden Fates packs.
Many Hidden Fates singles were trending down throughout most of 2023. This has changed quite a bit over the past 6 moths as some of the most popular shiny Pokemon Cards have started seeing strong gains. Is it too late to find cheap Hidden Fates Pokemon cards? Let's talk about it!

I came back in the pokemon collecting during hidden fates, where Cosmic Eclipse, team up, and Unbroken Bonds were still fully stocked on shelves.
I can't believe you lived my dream.... all the sets I want to master but can't because I came towards crown zenith
I came in when HF was sold out everywhere but XY and tag team sets were everywhere
Xy evolutions, unbroken bonds and hidden fate. Those are all sets I opened when getting back into collecting. I miss those days lol
Hidden fates ETBs are underrated and under priced. 10 packs $15 promo and $5 sleeves are worth more than $170... ALSO it seems lots of new collectors who post their collection online are lacking HF etbs.
Man.. top 3 to open up in my experience is
1. Crown Zenith hit rates sooooo good and beautiful cards.
2. Celebrations just super duper fun.
3. Evolving skies was rough but when you DO hit that alt art 😮💨

I came back into the hobby during Battle Styles. My favorite modern sets are Crown Zenith, 151, Cosmic Eclipse, & Lost Origin.
We unfortunately never got to open Hidden Fates. One day I’m gonna buy an ETB. Not sure if we’ll open it or not.😅

Love the Cynthia. Have it in PSA 10, but the slab is foggy. Got CGC 9.5s in most of the others because price point was below PSA 9.

Crown zenith is probably the best set of all time. A lot of people use the current market prices of cards to determine which set is the best which seems wrong. The last year of SWSH was amazing for artworks but because the pull rates were better people think evolving skies is better for instance. Sets like paldea evolved and paradox rift are going to age very well. The new, worse pull rates on SIRs in the newest sets may also make them winners down the road.

I have never opened hidden fates packs. I have a sealed etb and I really wanna open it for fun. Scared to regret it though.

Hey Danny I have a question, how do you figure out every single card there is in a set specifically reprints. I completed evolving skies master set in 2021 but in the last few years they make the Holiday cards with the stamp on it and they make cosmo holo versions and non holos of cards at later dates. I’m trying to make sure I have every single card that has the evolving skies icon on it but I always seem to be missing one
I would try using bulbapedia. They usually do a good job of including all the versions of a set and then separately will put out additional printings.

dang...tough question. Top 3 would be Crown Zenith, Fusion Strike (hit 3 alt arts within like 30 packs), and paradox rift is pretty awesome and fun to rip

I came back to the TCG (in part very much thanks to you Phanny) just before Shining Fates, with Battle Styles being my first real set.
Brilliant Stars will always be my favorite set, lots of amazing playable cards and great artwork in there.
XY Evolutions, Hidden Fates, and SV 151 (ENG and JPN). I've been in and out of the hobby since WOTC era, but those three have gotten me to stick around for significant periods of time. Recently, I've been setting more collection goals e.g. SM Tag Teams, SWSH Alt Arts, SV SIRs and being a little more smart with my money. Adulting sucks.
Danny be careful with some sudden jumps. For the Umbreon Shiny GX, there was a PSA 10 card sold for 230 that distorted the chart.

I believe the $249.69 from 6/13/2024 was also a PSA10 slab.
Team up (I love the tag team cards), Temporal Forces and I'm torn between Crown Zenith/Astral Radiance/Lost Origin as I really adored all three of those sets heh.
Paldea Evolved, Crown Zenith, and Brilliant Stars. Sets with trainer gallery artwork cards absolutely changed the collection game.

Started at ST so idk about pre SwSh sets unfortunately. My 3 are CZ, 151, and Evolving Skies. They were the nicest to me, albeit I bought most of those sets but still.
My top 3 favorite modern packs: crown zenith, team up, and celebrations.
Hidden fates is the set that brought me back into collecting. I remember I bought (and opened) so many ETBs , pin collections, premium collection, tins… wish I was more educated with sealed back then. But hey I’ve learned and make better decisions now.

I came in during the battle styles alt era and opened a bunch of sun and moon at the time before it became even more valuable. Was grateful for that, some of the best times and swsh. ScarV hasn't quite done it for me yet tbh besides special sets. Favorites gotta be lost thunder, fusion strike, and cosmic eclipse.
I started my hidden fates master set like a year ago and that was a huge mistake. Now it’s just gonna get even worse 🤦♂️

dragons exalted, next destinies and paldea evolved are my three favorite modern id say,Zenith is right up there... Heart gold sets were amazing. Fossil and neo discovery favorite ever.
i like hidden fates but pulling those ultra beasts was always a huge disappointment compared to some of the great gen 1 shinies
Interesting that Hidden Fates is climbing back up. I think it’s still going to take more time before it reaches a stable growth pattern.

Hidden Fates will always be a favorite of mine. Such and amazing set. This set was cool since it provided shiny alt arts of SM hits.

Does anyone know why hidden fates is a slowing growing market? It’s been about 5 years and I can still pick this set up a very decent price. Do you think paldean fates will be the same?

Im happy i didnt have to rip a lot of this set coming back into the game 2 years ago. Pulled SV49 on my first H.F. product i bought, second pack in. After that ive ibly opened it, if it came in someone mystery bag.

I have the world’s largest hidden fates sealed collection. :) but my most prized possession of hidden fates is a sealed gyrados tin with the most miscut promo card. It literally has like 9 corners.

I came back with SV151. I missed out on SWSH. I enjoyed opening Celebrations, 151 and Paldea Evolved. If I experienced SWSH live: Team up with tag team cards, Evolving Skies and Crown Zenith.
Videos like this stir up fear and results in buyouts no? Prices start to rise after viewers get worried they’ll miss their chance and all run towards this set. Rinse repeat

hidden fates is simply is the best set ever. all the favorite pokemon in one set. the newer sets got pokemon no one knows, and since hidden fates had all the favorites, they're gonna get repetitive.

Hidden fates is a very special set and pokemon tried replicating the success ever since with the shiny sets.
All the succeeding fates set were struggling because Pokemon did not understand what made HF worked.
