Good effort. Some deep information 👍. The standards which came during 2006 , 2007 and 2008 was said to be equipped with heavy crank and so that it gives the feel of riding G2s (due to its ability to do low speeds at top gear) - this feature was mentioned in many places to justify their uniqueness and so the cost? What's your opinion on this.
I didn't get chance to ride them (last gen ci standards) yet 😀.

Me being a owner of electra 2008 5s. i am drawn towards buying a old model point bullet preferably before 2000. My preferences are for machines with legendary thump, heavy crank to cruise at lower speeds at top gear, and reasonable mileage say atleast 30km (becoz my current bike gives me less than that). Outlook is not priority for I can always do the needful modification and beautifications later on. All i want is best thump, reasonable mileage 30 km and a good in condition engine. Which year model can satisfy my requirements. Budget anything below Rs.1.00 lac. will be thankful for your suggestions and views.
The crank is same for all the bullet after B1 so it’s waste of time to search in terms of crank weight 8.2kg is the crank weight for all the bullets from 1975 to 2009 so my opinion is to buy from 2003 to 2009 point bullets
Reason
1. No green tax instead lifetime tax
2. Less wear and wear and tear
3. Low mileage ( KMs ) driven when compared to pre 90’s Bike

Coz information from various discussion on this topic reveal that 1970s had 10.2 kg 1980s had 10 kg and 1990s had 9 kg. from 2000 there was a reduction crank weight to 8.2 or 8.5 kgs mainly for points bullets. From 2004 or 2005 to 2010 - the last cast iron point bullets it was 10 kgs. These are only the general impression arrived at after weighing the crank weight in few cases here and there. There is no authentic information on this becoz even a G2 bike of 1974 had only a crank of 9.2 kg in one instance. so no uniform information on this topic so far. It would be nice to have a video on this topic especially crank weights for different models and some enlightening on the subject matter so called "robust legendary thump" - what leads to this thump and the reasons behind this. Your videos are simple straight and clean content material for bullet enthusiasts and of course the general public too. continue with this good work, will disturb you with more queries reg some minor problems as regards my electra 5s 2008. thank you
