Let's face it, Ira, you are an influencer. An influencer in a most positive sense. You influence your viewers to think more about various aspects of photography that others do not mention. Do others question whether they are photographers or gear hounds like you question yourself. There's no way that the self proclaimed expert influencers would touch the topic. Continue making your videos. Your fans need your truth and honesty.

Excellent points about CZcams "influencers." I use APS-C and Full-frame, but nothing more than 20 megapixels, and my full-frame is only 12 megapixels. But the quality is amazing from both. As for Micro 4/3s, I have recently seen more popular folks coming out with good videos in support of that format, so maybe the tide is turning a bit? I hope so. Each format has it's place. As for me, I like larger/heavier cameras due to my size and my affinity to film cameras with which I started photography back in the late 70s. Ultimately every camera is just a light-tight box with which we expose a medium to light. What we photography is FAR more important than which format or camera we use to make the image. I have to both agree with you Ira, and disagree! Your point about 'influencers' is quite correct and sadly YT plus other social media platforms are full of their output. They do little if anything to promote photography itself! However, I disagree with your thoughts that your channel isn't very important. Small channels, with good content, were where YT was born and intimate creative discussion is what we need more of. Keep on with the good work and all the best for 2024!
