I work at a dealership as a service advisor and had a 911 GT2 come in for an oil service and over rev report (it was being sold by the owner at an auction) and a guy in the detail department landed a single drop of goo gone (adhesive remover) while removing a sticker, on the custom stitched leather dashboard right on the crest of the instrument cluster. It burned a hole in perfect plain view. Our leather guy fixed it and I was blown away I had never seen leather repair before! I know what you mean!
😂 I hang over, crawl underneath cars, if there is something to learn, imma be right there, I offer coffee, homemade cookies, lunch for longer projects, but I'm usually dirtier than the professional after a job, I clean up the mess too. Sometimes you end up making a good friend

Normally I would agree with you but there's actually a second imperfection that was covered up when the putty and paint was put on it's in the top left corner of the area that was painted if you focus really closely on that it disappears when the putty knife spreads putty on it and it is not apparent in the final part of the video which means that this was in fact a real repair. 🤓☝️

Agreed. I’m really fine artist and I could do all of that up until the perfect color matching. It looks like they’re using some type of mist sprayer with an identical matching paint!!! I’d probably be able to mix the color as well but whatever tools are using to spray it and I’m assuming the type of paint that properly adheres to leather I definitely would not have in any of my inventory!!!
