- Aslmualikum Warehmatullah. I had a great opportunity to meet Nouman Ali Khan in person for the first time . He is such an asset to the global Muslim community MA . It was an enlightening session. I also had the privilege of interacting with him on how can we improve the infant Islamic School system in the US vs the long established and well funded Public School System.

MaashaAllah... brother good effort towards promoting the Islamic Concepts and its real implementation.
I think one of the reasons why we don’t have relatable imams is because a lot of mesjed board members prefer to hire people from overseas, who do not demand high salaries and generally follow orders, as their work visas are tied to the mesjed. But the imam should be the leader of the community, both in religious and organizational affairs, not the board members.
Yes brother Kareem. That’s one of the aspects that I was trying to highlight in front of Nouman Ali Khan . The relevance of our religious leaders ,especially in the eyes of the younger generation being brought up in the West ,is of utmost importance. In Sha Allah we definitely will see better results as the time goes by with more and more native born and culturally aware leaders are produced right here who are more relatable and relevant to the younger generations to come . Here we also appreciate all the groundwork of people who are working tirelessly to achieve this goal . Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. @@MEINTHEMIDDLE Wa iyyak. And thank you for taking initiative on this question. I think as NAK said, it's important for community members to fund promising youth - not necessarily to study secular subjects - but so they can run programs geared towards other youth. Even if it's not deen per se, at least getting the youth into sports and general bonding with other Muslims.
Public schools shouldn't even be an option for Muslim families in the U.S.
Islamic schools, private tutoring , virtual school, and homeschooling are the best options for Muslim families who care about their child's heart, mind, and soul.

What is the issue you all have with or against “secular”, public schools for your/Muslim children and families??
