Omega 3 in chia seeds is ALA those that vegan missing are DHA I EPA. Although you can converse ALA to EPA and some DHA it's really difficult and 1-3% so you really have to eat it a tones of it. If you are vegan then the best source of DHA and EPA is supplementation,( supps with sea algae)
Great video showing the stages of growth. I had a bag of chia seed that was out of date at the back of our pantry. I thought i would just throw them into the garden and now its covered in little plants. It was satisfyingly and soft to walk on the seedlings. When and how do i harvest the seeds after the mature?
I really like chia seeds and this recipe is just amazing. I just recently tried this recipe using chia seeds from True Elements, and the dish turned out to be super amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this creativity.
Sounds about right, though I must admit I rarely ever have the sound on when I watch these "how to grow from seeds" videos. Bought some Chia seeds on sale earlier in the day, will shortly put them in some fresh rainwater and will surely put them in soil tomorrow! Good looking on the "How to grow" video Learnagro - Deepak Bhandari! Grow a'head yall!
Short update. The first plants have already seen the first light of day aka (also known as) seen sunshine for the first time, as they have just begun to sprout from up the soil!
Now you have learned about it, that’s the best thing. Good ahead and make the max use of it. Good luck my friend and thanks for the comment. Please check our other videos too.
I like that you made a point to experiment with 3 types of growing atmospheres. I was curious about the potential growth of them, curious if they were like broccoli or radish microgreen sprouts. I will have to experiment for myself so I can snip em on the go. I assume I might have to have 2 "containers"/statues at a 2 week intervals to get an ongoing 'crop' and enjoy at the same time until the next batch is ready. Thank you for this video, it's value and your time!

I noticed at around day 5 more or less it looked like white mold at the bottom of the micro greens tray. its happened to me before with some other micro greens, is that a bad thing? should I spray with a solution of H2O2 or vinegar or something else to kill the mold, or is it no big deal that its slowly creeping up on the micro greens? thank you
If you see mold growing you can remove the mold area/diseased area to leave other healthy. Beside that if you wanna use as micro greens just cut the upper top of the tray grow chias and use it or if you want to make a big plant grow them in soil for further growth. Does that answer your question, please let us know. Please check our other videos too. Let us know if you have more queries..
Roots can look like white mould too. Test by dropping 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide onto the white bit. If the white bit disappears it was mould. If it doesn’t it was root hairs. Pasteurize your growing medium first if it keeps happening.
Thank you for the great information! Please can you tell me what do you do with the tall plants that you grew? Do you eat the leaves or grow them to propagate more seeds? Or is there some other purpose? Many thanks.
Pistachio trees grow best and produce the most nuts in an arid semi-desert climate with long, dry, hot summers, low humidity and cool but not frigid winters. During the growing season, pistachio trees thrive on heat. Summer temperatures of around 37 degrees Celcius produce large quantities of the best nuts.
Hi, I planted some chia seeds in a pot and now they are 12 inches (approximately 30 cm) tall. But the lovely leaves are full of holes. Each hole is arond 1/4 inch (3 mm), or smaller. Would you know of an organic way to keep pests/insects away? I tried a solution of water, hot peppers, garlic, and soap on other plants, but that did not work. Thank you.
L. J. Bush yes my friend... it’s exact same as you said. They use to make chia pets. It’s really simple and looks great. Have ever tried consuming chai seeds or smoothies..? They are really helpful and real healthy diet. Give a try if possible !!
Can we cut microgreens from above and if we leave the roots in place will the microgreens grow again. How many times can we keep on cutting, enrich soil with used tea leaves and regrow Chia microgreens.
Once you cut the micro green the same plant will not regrow but those seeds and baby plants will grow which didn’t grew earlier taller. That’s why people say they regrow, it’s not the same cutter plant will grow. And it also depends in the type of seed... the maize, wheat generally grows but other doesn’t regrow..!
No no no..! You don’t have to worry, once they go in your stomach the acid produced by the stomach kills everything. So you don’t have to worry about any thing.. beside that it’s always better to chew them well before swallowing..! They are really beneficial for the health *Black star. I hope this is helpful.!! Chia seeds have calcium but also omega-3, something that vegans want and can get cheaply with this seed. In addition, yeah the fiber is awesome.

Remove the part with mold. Just water them thoroughly. They should be fine.
When do you remove the plastic for the ones intended for transplant to garden?
When they become 4-6 inch tall. Thank for the comment.
Why did you make holes in the plastic cover? Is it for air circulation or any other reason?
Yes that’s right.

Can you please tell the climate neede to grow chia plants?
Tropical climate is best. They need plenty of sunlight during growth and producing seeds. Let us know for more queries
Do you know if you can still eat the leaves after they grow large or should you just grow them for seeds?
No you can’t eat the adult leaves, but you can eat sprouts, very young plants only.
i find u can just plant them without having to pre sprout them in water first.
I wonder if they could grow on my stomach🤔
No no no..! You don’t have to worry, once they go in your stomach the acid produced by the stomach kills everything.
