Awesome. Thanks Kevin. This might be my next project. I learned how to do screen recordings in PowerPoint recently from your channel as I was asked to train some colleagues virtually in SharePoint making it specific to one of our Team Sites. I used a mixture of regular PowerPoint, screen recordings and some hands on practice with my colleagues all via Team. At the start of the year we didn't have Teams and though I had done some face-to-face training of the same software in small groups 1-2-1 or 1-2-2 I would never have seen myself doing that virtually. It is adapting and enhancing skills I would use in the office. One question. Can we get a transcript or add subtitles to any videos screen recordings? we would need them for accessibility if we wanted to share them wider with colleagues in our organisation.

Very useful. (i) How do you do the narration when you inserted a screen recording in one of the slides, and you want to keep the voice/audio of the screen recording for that particular slide? (ii) Suppose you only want your face to appear in video on the first and last slide -- how do you disable it on the other slides?

Thanks for this video Kevin. I think the video export is a much under-utilised facility. But perhaps with good reason. First though permit me to explain how I do it and then my solution to the predicted problem.
    (1) Record the narration separately and edit it in something free like Audacity.
    (2) Put all the slides you require into your PowerPoint presentation**.
** It is a good idea to take your printed narration and to mark on it where you want each slide to come in.
    (3) Choose a transition between the slides - simple fade works best - and apply it to all the slides.
    (4) Insert your edited audio file and move the irritating icon off to the side of slide 1 of your presentation.
    (5) Go to the 'animations' tab and then over on the right 'animations pane'
    (6) In the panel that opens select the dropdown arrow for the sound file and select the option 'Start with previous'
    (7) Select the same dropdown arrow again and select 'effect options'
    (8) Go to the middle section and select 'stop playing after' - then enter the total number of slides in your presentation.
    (9) Your narration will probably start playing in a section on the right of the screen so just press stop.
    (10) Go to the 'slide show' tab and just under its name should be the Record Slide Show section. First however, UNCHECK 'play narrations' - just to the right.
    (11) Now click the Record Slide Show and select 'from the beginning'.
    (12) Press the red record button and advance the slides in accordance with how you marked your printed narration in point (2) above.
    (13) Export the video as Kevin demonstrated.
The bad news? It probably won't work. PowerPoint will invariably screw it up with a glitch in some slides or glitches in the narration, truncating words or cutting them out altogether. Solution........
    (1) Open a free video editor such as OpenShot
    (2) Import the PowerPoint video you exported and put it on the timeline.
    (3) Right click it and select the option to remove the sound from the video. It will place it on a separate track underneath. Highlight it (the sound track) and press delete.
    (4) Now import your recorded narration sound file that you made with something like audacity and drop it on the track under the video track in OpenShot. So you will have a video track with the narration track underneath.
    (5) Now simply export it all as a video file.
Hope this helps somebody. I go through this about 4 times a week on average. It is a shame that after 18 months of trying, I have never, ever, got PowerPoint to extract a video without glitches. So I turned to the OpenShot solution.

Wonderful Video... Well explained in detail.
I am a big fan of this feature and been using it since long.
It gets more worthy esp when just need to edit/delete/omit few slides content / audio, etc... it can be easily done and video can be again made without repeating entire content.
Also using / copying slides in to another presentation,- audio video also gets copied if required... Its real helpful for repeated Typical slides (for eg welcome intro slide, thank you slide, etc)
    Just to add few cents:
    - While in Powerpoint Recording mode, ensure not to do narration while progressing to next slide, else those particular words may not get recorded at all; Start speaking only when next slide is displayed on screen.
    - After Recording in Powerpoint, you can also crop/edit video with inbuilt tools in addition to reposition. This may not be possible if doing recording through OBS.
