In this tutorial, we use Affinity Designer to create a logo with curved text. Text on a path can make any logo look professional, but our design looks even better by using a free illustration from the Heritage Library - Jak na to + styl

Great tutorial. I grabbed the free heritage graphics... never know when I might need one of them for a logo or thumbnail. Affinity Designer is my to-go program for creating thumbnails.

I never knew that pressing the ENTER key switches the text flow from inside to outside and vice versa. I was using other controls to achieve that.

Love your video! I have been attempting to create Christmas ornaments with text on the path on the outside path of the ornament. I have am making the ornament large with high resolution so that when I resize it down for People to print out, the image is crisp and vibrant. However, when I resized it down the text went all wonky, and didn't at all stay the way it looks in the original large size. How is this rectified?
You should export your design as a JPEG at its full size, and then people can print it at any smaller size without the design becoming distorted.
@@AffinityRevolution Oh thank you! It was so frustrating to work hard on what I think is a beautiful Christmas ornament, and then the text went all wonky, LOL. I purchased your Affinity Designer course, so am excited so excited to get started. :-)

Affinity has Radial Blur, if that's what you are looking for. There is a free trial though, so you can test everything out before buying. 😊

They have not added that feature yet. A lot of people have asked for it, so hopefully they add it soon.

Affinity Designer even today, lacks a few tools that its predecessor DrawPlus used to have e.g. Blend Tool and Envelope Tool. I can't understand why. Its is the same parent company. It also lacks the Extrude Tool that most top of the range softwares have. I hope they improve the software as time goes by.
I hope they add those features soon. 😕

I used to work in AI. I now am using Affinity Designer. Sometimes I need to make a line border. Occasionally, I need to put text in the border and break the border where the text is using the scissor tool. I had no problem with AI but I can't figure out how to do it in Affinity Designer. Can you make a tutorial on how to do this? Please see this video: @
