Aiden O'Brien has trained many great horses,lots of classic winners and too many champions to mention but I'll guarantee Istabraq was the most popular horse he ever trained.

totally agree. what i find very insulting is that dato stars performance when winning at haydock on bog heavy ground backin 200 was rated better than anything istabraq ever did. i think that is a complete joke and an insult to a briliant champion like istabraq who proved himself year after year and time and time again

Normally to get high ratings you have to beat High rated quality horses. he didn't. But because he was on a different level to the rest of the horses in his era, that's why he is rated the joint second greatest Hurdler of all time. Night Nurse on 182. Istabraq and Monksfield. both on 180.

just have so much love and respect for Istabraq what a fantastic horse my Dad and I just loved watching him run and he made us a few quid.
