    I love this brand, my husband turned me on to the idea of using a beef tallow lotion. I didn’t even know that existed! We’ve used their products consistently now and we feel so much better about what we are putting on our skin. I’m glad more people are becoming aware of endocrine disrupters.

    Loved this whole podcast!! Switching to nontoxic makeup & skin care is tough for sure. Great explanations. I would love to see Emilee do a Toups & Co makeup application on someone! I’d also be interested in hearing more information on “eating your sunscreen”- that would make a great podcast topic!

    I LOVE Toups & Co! I wear the liquid foundation and it's by far the best I've used not only on the natural makeup market, but the entire market in general. The mascara is stunning, the frankincense balm is my holy grail moisturizer, and the deodorant stands up to humid summers. Emilie has nailed natural beauty and skincare in a way that no other company can touch.

    I am so glad you interviewed Emilie! Also was always confused by skincare programmes! We just today got our second order - and ready to order sun balm! We are replacing products as we run out… and of course I am listening to this while feeding some sourdough starter for pancakes and making sourdough chocolate chip challah in the morning!

    I was so excited to watch this video. I am highly allergic to lanolin and phenoxyethanol so finding products I can use is really hard. I was so glad that you even mentioned phenoxyethanol in your video and how your products do not contain it. I will definitely be trying this line.

    Been using tallow on my skin for years. Absolutely love it. I do mix it with some jojoba and olive oil to give it a better skip and feel but what a difference it has made in my skin.

    Do you have any recommendations for natural or organic haircare?

    • @Sonyacita

      It’s been 10 months but I know the Body Deli out of the Coachella Valley is extremely clean - the shampoo and conditioner take getting used to but it’s worth it. Rahua is another brand that works really well - I have no idea if it’s excellent quality or just marketing honestly but it SEEMS to be very conscious of ingredients. It’s definitely easy to use, and works great for fine hair.

    This episode is incredibly helpful in obtaining details on the benefits of using organic products for optimal skin health. Absorption of the products that were using on our skin is an eye opener because we truly need to be more careful in how were taking care of it. This is the biggest organ we have and keeping it fresh, clean and youthful throughout our lives is vital, doing that will help and is key to staying healthy. Yet one downside to this otherwise wonderful episode is that the damaging effects of being out in the sun without sunscreen SPF 30 or above are not emphasized very much. When just indicating that having plenty of sun exposure is enough, without adding that sun protection should be used. People listening or watching can easily think it's not needed. There is a hole in the ozone layer, skin cancers and leathery skin are the result of being outside with too little or no sun protection. Being mindful of that is a helpful tool and using sunscreen isn't about choice; in today's world it's just a MUST.

    • @RuthEdelstein
      @RuthEdelstein Před 10 měsíci

      We actually don't get enough sun. And didn't the ozone heal itself? It's most likely all the toxins in our air, soil, food and products making us unhealthy than the SUN.

      But I do try to use clean skincare products. My bare minimal requirement is no artificial fragrances because it triggers my asthma and my husband's eczema.
