My favorite game as a kid! This game was so unique and inventive, the game play is unlike anything else I've ever seen. A super unique game and a compelling story! Sometimes I would enjoy the cuts cutscenes more than the battles themselves because the story was so interesting and the characters were so over the top and entertaining!
Was one of my favourite games growing up and it still one of my favourite games now; the graphics in some of the cutscenes still blows me away for a 2001 game
I loved this shit as a kid. I dug my teeth into any TK media I could and this was such a trip. Eventually I realized what a dumpster fire this game was. The voice acting was like everyone just made up the script as they went along and the story was dropped on its head as a child. This is easily the worst realization of Liu Bei as well. He is so insufferable and I enjoyed beating the crap out of him in the Cao playthrough, the ending which was very unsatisfying beside seeing Xun Yu get pretty. The outfits are crazy as well. Yet I somehow just loved how bad it was.
Allegedly the fourth game was meant to be set in Medieval Europe, but was scrapped then was resurrected as the spin-off title Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War.
@@kingofmonsters14 Despite being a big fan of Bladestorm myself, I'll admit I would've preferred Kessen 4 too. I imagine the storytelling would 've been 10x better and the battles to not be repetitive.
ahhh... the time when cao cao is pronounced cow cow instead of chow chow, i wonder if a new player for this game and dynasty warriors series before DW6 that doesn't know chinese history hear a character named cow cow will react :3

I love how they call him cow-cow instead of how it's actually pronounced more like tsao- tsao-
No wonder it was chosen the strategy game of the year 2002
46:23 the classic Gan Ning is posted in the background.
Such a legendary game! Every part was engaging

Whaaaaat! I am so glad Xun Yu was so glamd up for Cao Cao! What a new surprise from such a classic. Will have to remember when I play again.
This makes me want to buy a ps2 and play.
@1:50:28 What the....HOW THE HELL DID HIMIKO ACQUIRED THE REMOTE CONTROL???
1:21:52 One of the funniest moments!!
Diao Chan is calling out to her love, and Yu Jin is like girl no.
And during such a climatic moment 😂
Ah when you realize the voice actor for Cao Cao in this was Xiahou Dun in Dynasty Warriors...
We need these costumes in the newer Dynasty Warriors especially Cao Caos and maybe Yu Jins

so the first and third ones are based in Japan... yet this one is set in China? i bet if they did a 4 and 5, they'd do Korea and Mongolia

@@GaultSilber should've kept it as Kessen 4. Bladestorm..... isn't that great. i downright say it sucks.

Needs to be re-released or remastered.

Which scene has one with Yue Ying saying “yeah” 😂
Kessen 2 = Dynasty warrior?
Made by the same company, so it's a lot alike, It's what got me into DW to begin with.
