    Wow ….
This should of been on “Game for a laugh” ……!!!!!
Gareth, try some frozen “Lobster tails”
After you defrost them you coat them in garlic butter and grill them…
Easier to prepare, cook and eat with very little waste…
    Tasty 👅………
My first lobster was cooked live at a beach restaurant in Antigua, West Indies…. 30 odd years ago…
Location made it memorable, but my Spanish girlfriend, now my wife, complained that the Caribbean Lobster 🦞 is less tasty than the Atlantic Lobster….!
I now understand the difference …!
When we lived in 🇬🇧 UK we used to have frozen seafood delivered to our home by a frozen food company..!
That’s how I learned about Lobster 🦞 tails …, which were about 5 quid for a box of 4, 20 years ago !!!
We don’t have an Iceland in Alicante, and Aldi does not stock “pigs in blankets “ (mantas en thurdos)
As you can imagine Harry Ramsdens fish 🐠 and chips with mushy peas was less than appetizing for a fish munching Spanish person !!!
Keep smiling 😊, your doing well..!!

Brilliant video. Made me laugh. I've never had one either in 71 years. I'm up to Farmfoods tomorrow where they've got 550g - 700g Canadian whole cooked lobster on offer at £9.99 Hammers, chisels and pry bars ready!

Gareth, I would just like to say that I have never had to tackle a whole lobster, but I do enjoy eating lobster and crab. I have found that the easiest thing to do is to buy a bag of prepared crab claws which are ready cooked and scored in the thickest areas of the shell, then using assorted tools such as a metal skewer, nut crackers and a meat tenderising hammer, you can soon learn how to pick the claws clean. Once you get confident you can progress to tackling a whole crab(pre -cooked for convenience) and thence to the point where I am now of cooking my own crabs after I go to the sea side to purchase them, either from a fisherman or a fishmonger. Next I will have to go catch my own and then I’ll finally get to deal with the lobsters myself. Okay the first time I tackled a crab I was bricking myself but I just practiced for a while and now it doesn’t phase me. Don’t forget to extract the meat from the legs as I did first time and use the very tips of the legs as picks and use the empty shells to make fish stock for soups or sauces.

I was in Canada a while back. Never had lobster before, but fresh it was beautiful. I was shown a different way of doing it. Cut off the head, then cut into the rest of the body. They had a little tool to scoop out the contents of the head.
Nice vlog. Nice food. Stinky fingers 🤣

My Granda, Dad and Uncles had a fishing boat and caught lobsters and huge crabs in their pots. When they were in season we had lobster sandwiches and dressed crab sandwiches every Sunday. Get a bit sick of them after a while😁

Ignore the comments that people are laughing you did well! Its a difficult thing to do and its great that Iceland Lidl and Aldi are bringing these at a price that people can have a go and see if they like them. I remember using a hammer to open some Brazil nuts and that was alot less sucessful than your lobster!

Gareth, did you used to be a surgeon? This is so funny . . . “Right, so I'm gonna try and get into these”, and . . . CUT . . . “so, I've got a HAMMER”!
I've never had lobster either Gareth, however; I remember crab sticks well when I was a child.
I have to say the lobster meat does look delicious.
I watched this twice for the entertainment value.
Thank you so much pal, a stormer of a review, definitely one of my favourites. All the best.
