Well, they’ve said it themselves multiple fucking times throughout their damn career. Shit, the last album they released, Danger Days, was probably the furthest thing from emo I could imagine while still being punk. I just get kinda annoyed seeing so many people still associate then with emo when most of the big bands that were called emo were more pop punk than anything (and I say this while still considering MCR as the heaviest of the big 3 “emo” bands).
This was released on my birthday 2 years ago...the return was one of the best presents I've received. Hopefully I can land tickets to see you guys this year 🖤
