It's a very grand love song, and so church bells and prayer fit in well with some of the religious references in the original. That, and the woman making these covers seems to understand lyrical poetry in as much as she understands music.

This is her favourite song because the flow of the lyrics matches nicely with the music. She loves how I sign along so easily and get into the music myself while still signing it to her,
Signing these songs for her and even listening to them on my own makes my day even better. Thank you so much for this content.

Really good work on the instrumentation, word choice, melodic adaptation, rythm that each time both respect the original music AND some medieval convention (obviously not all, that would be impossible, but to be honnest that degree of success is already beyond what I would have expected to be feasible).
I feel most bardcore tend to do one or the other too much, this is the perfect balance (at least for me) that gets both world.

Her melodies are reminiscent of the tragedies that occurred in that time. Summertide sorrow, her most classic, was written in memoriam of those who died for the liberation of the southern part of the Iberian peninsula. Lana Del Rey does write most of her songs like she writing a poem, so she is kind of the perfect artist for Bardcore,.

Always cool when meme songs are so well executed they actually become good tracks on their own

This is a really beautiful --and heartbreaking--version. I like the contrast between the original and this "parody" (so genuinely good I hate to call it that). Not only with changing the lyrics and the style to fit the proper time period, but the contrasts between the Lana del Rey's smoky deep contralto and Hildegard von Blingin' crystal clear soprano.

As someone who used to work at the Texas Renaissance Festival: THIS SHOULD BE PLAYING ON BLAST EVERYWHERE ON THE FAIRGROUNDS, HOLY CRAP! I'm not kidding, this is truly beautiful, from the adjustment of the lyrics to the rearrangement of the melody to the very plucking of the strings (I'm assuming that's a classical guitar, or a harp? I'm not very good at music despite my classes 😅). This was lovely, and now I need to go listen to your other works!

Bro my thoughts exactly. I try go to Texas renfest every year. we need to get Hildegard von Blingin a stage there and start a bardcore music fest and I'll be one of the groupies in the first row! cool that you worked there i hear it's a demanding place to work. so many visitors every year.

@@rdiddyspace1708 _Very_ demanding, with long days, rude people, and not a great pay per hour. I actually greatly preferred working at another, smaller ren faire because every shop was mom-'n'-pop instead of commercial, and all the patrons(customers) were super into it with their own costumes, rather than just being tourists in shorts and sandals. But I am glad that I worked both!
