  • Didn't include Swing Combo because that thing is just a reposition move and that happens after the second swing, didn't find it useful or interesting.
    The strongest explosion has a 150 motion value, we get the strongest on if we detonate it with a song after growing it twice with 2 melodies.
    Weakest when there's no growth and out of range.

    Bead seems like such a fantastic wakeup attack on sleeping targets for HH. Probably the best for HH.

      Honestly, probably not. The first hit earthshaker already does 500+ on high rank on the head so probably max affinity, crit boost and attack would still make that a batter wake up attack.

      Setting it up doesn't inflict any damage but it can be a sloid wake up hit after you perform two melodies and detonate it with a song.

      @@kobold_sushi_executive_chef I'm still holding out hope for a Bead buff in the rebalancing patch. Earthshaker was waaaay too much of a clear winner in its Switch Skill slot (and might still be because this new move may still not compete with it) and Bead never stood a chance after they cut nearly all of its damage potential before we even got to use it in Rise.

      Couldn't find any useful info about the move, it felt and acted like any of the regular combos.
      From the datamining, the motion values of those two hit attacks are 25 and 40 and they're on par with other combos, didn't feel like they're any faster.

    ehhh seems sorta underwhelming considering the setup animation is the same as bead of resonance and that takes quite a while. Having to micromanage that distance seems like quite the pain in the ass. It also costs 2 wirebugs and all that point might as well go with good ol earthshaker.

      The distance between you and the new Bead doesn't seem like it'll be an issue. I've tested it myself and you have to go pretty far to set it off early. It's the distance between it and the MONSTER that's a real factor here. Really wish it did what Earthshaker got right and Bead got wrong by actually attaching to the monster instead of the ground

      There is the Swing Combo, but weirdly that just seems like a straight gain of another move (2 hit left/right repositioning attack with good damage) without replacing anything

      @@moonshinetheleocat1235 you have to do it after a left or right swing, so it's not quite on the fly but not TOO inaccessible. We have the Performance Mode recital with actual I frames to it for a much better mid combo dodge.
      The move isn't half bad though--from the datamined numbers it's actually a really solid move. It's just...idk what to make of it lol. You don't lose anything important for it so it's practically free to use but idk when I'd use it

      Placing it takes ages just like with Beads of Resonance, damage is nice but I feel like we can deal so much more by using regular combos.
      At least we can get some funny topples with it.

      It seems that way. Not sure if it explodes as a lvl 3 or as a lvl 1+ lvl 2 + lvl 3 tho. The latter would be amazing burst damage.

      No, but it will max charge to lvl3 and your next recital will burst it. Really wish that was how it worked though because that'd make for some easy Earthshaker competition right there.

      @@KPlaysHere If it charges it to level 3 but doesn't burst it, you can do this combo: queue all 3 notes -> silkbind move -> RT -> magnificent trio. If I understand what the vid means by "song" and "melody" it does the most damage if you get it to level 3 and then burst it with a magnificent trio instead of bursting it with a recital. Seems like it explodes for 150MV. It's 40 less than earthshaker, but keep in mind 90MV of earthshaker relies on the hitzone value. I'll definitely be experimenting with it.

      @@Bowmen-xc8nb you'd be wasting a charge with that combo. It always explodes at max with 3 songs played, but the rules get a little weird with Echo Mode and multiple notes stocked--I have to mess with it more, but what I know for sure is that you'll always need at the very least 2 normal recitals. Trio is the only move that WILL pop it at max level immediately, so you'd probably want to always use those with an uncharged bomb. For example, if you went Silkbind>stock 3 notes>recital>crush>recital, you'd pop it at max level. You'd then have your bugs mostly recharged by then to place another AND a Trio ready to pop it again right away.

      I feel like they did over simplified it a a bit, but it's so satisfying to use in Rise. I tried using HH in past games and I find memorising so many different melodies very difficult. I think the middle ground between old and new would be the best for future games.

    This is not new.... is it? Same as bead of resonance it looks like, only a bug attached now and damage increase?
    Give HH back the spin it to win it move, remove that shit from a meter and make it part of the constant moveset.
    IMO they ruined the base moveset of HH with Rise.

      @@phillipmorris6629 I'd rather it stay on the meter. In iceborn it simplified the HH combo and made it less fun... but you were hurting yourself if you didn't use it. Base Rise has a similar problem where the DPS combo is spamming swing, doot. The rise HH moveset combined with Shockwaves incentivizes a more flashy/stylish fighting style that I was craving for my doot stick. Plus it seems like that combo alone will open up elemental and status horns since the Elemental modifiers for those delayed sonic bombs is a whopping 1.5x. This means that you effectively get 50% more elemental attack, when ele normally removes from a horns raw at a 1 to 1 ratio.
      Combine that with the horns ability to boost elemental damage, and the element plus skills and whoo boy.
