Yes! I wanted the S, but with orange scales! Dang, we are both so amazing.
No idea why S wouldn't stand for swedge lol

I think the "S" may have been a redesign. I don't know. There have been like 3 version of this knife. As I recall, there's was the XL too. It's all a little confusing.

The Lamigos are great knives. All the WTG knives are serious bang for buck! Not only do they have bang for buck but easily compete with other high end knives.... period!

Yep! I completely agree and more and more knife designers are turning to them to get their knife designs made.

@@LegionTacticoolCutlery Thanks! Given my new found love of Kukris, I should probably look into the Siddha.

    I'll take the non-S one!

Great video! On a somewhat unrelated note, a matter of potentially shared concern has recently come to my attention. I'm not sure if you heard, but CDFW changed the regulations on the Cottonwood Lakes 1 - 4 so that the season runs September 1st to Nov 30... I can't find any information as to how they justified taking months off of the season. I know you've fished there relatively extensively, and I was wondering if you know more / have any thoughts.

Hi, that's news to me and sounds like a misprint. In some years you can't even get in the there in October. I'll look into it. And thanks for the kind words!

I just found it in the regs. It makes sense if you go by my experience the last time I was there. I saw 50 people. If you figure it's still the brood stock for the state and that a lot of fish are being caught, mishandled or perhaps even eaten, it doesn't leave much in the way of brood stock. The bonus however is that all the other lakes are now open year round. That means as soon as you can get into them. Which I see as a good thing as I've been in there as early as memorial day weekend during drought years.
That said, I'm sure my favorite lake will now get over run..... :(

@@highcountrychronicles Yeah, I saw a ton of guys posting youtube videos about the basin last summer. Seems like people tend to focus on the numbered lakes. Are they any better than Muir lake / south lakes etc?

@@tigerfishdivisionlancey2725 Strange, my earlier reply isn't showing. Muir is dead. Gill netted for the from some years ago. Long is probably a sleeper. Yes, the numbered lakes consistently produce bigger fish than the others....

@@highcountrychronicles Thats a shame. Guess I'll have to hike out to 5, 6, or some of the other lakes that will go unmentioned. Thanks as always Jim!
