I feel OK about Pixar mainly because I’m not one of the many incels who think it’s gone to shit just because they’re including non-white protagonists and LGBT characters.
Oh man, this is gonna be fire. I remember watching the first movie when i was in early middle school, and related to it way more than i had expected to. Even though ive already graduated HS, im still hype to see this as im still in the rough age range of Riley (i think shes actually older than me, but cuz of how many years it took to make this movie, i passed her)
As a highschooler, I was the target demographic when the first one came out, and I'm the target demographic now. This is genuinely the only sequel to a movie from my childhood that I'm really freakin excited for now.
I just realized why does it feel like every Disney movie when it talks about growing up they always do girls as the main characters I can't think of one male main character about growing up
Modern Disney is Misandrist. They don't like men or anything related to the demographic. That's why they're buying popular and destroying them, just look at Star Wars. 😂
I think they meant maale characters that have journeys that are related to puberty. Andy and Simba didn't really have an "arc" where they struggled in puberty like how Mei Mei or Riley does. Though I do get why therres more female representation in "puberty related" media, because women probably have more changes to their physical body, with the enlarging of breasts and the starting of their menstrual cycle and all, while men have only a few changes. I just mean its probably easier to right a story about periods or the struggle of being a woman in puberty, then writing a story about your voice dropping or you getting bulges.
Being someone in high school right now & an artist I have never seen something so terrifyingly accurate to my mental state I know im going to love this movie so much
So idk if I was the first one to realize this, but there is that one scene where joy says to sadness “have I ever steered you wrong before?” And sadness says “many times” then by the scene with the sarcasm, sadness isn’t there. Did anyone else realize this?
