- On this episode of rescue 911 we’re are here with Valerie who introduces us to Lizzie. Her family had fallen on very hard times, homeless and living out of their car. They knew the best thing for this senior piggie was to re home her. We couldn’t say no.

becoming homeless and having to surrender my guinea pigs is my worst nightmare. I live paycheck to paycheck and am unable to work fulltime due to being disabled. I do everything for my guineas and I couldn't give them up, but with the cost of living crisis it's so hard.
🥺🥺 the guinea pig looks healthy considering everything. They seem like they were good pig parents.
Yes we think they were good parents who just got stuck in an awful situation. We really hope they will be ok.
She looks healthy with a shiny coat.. They must have taken such good of her.. I wish this poor family the best.
We agree, they really loved and cared for her
Her family have to be praised for not abandoning their pet, they loved her, and will miss their little Lizzie. 😢
She's adorable 😍 and Thank You for giving her a lovely home. Wishing all the best for Lizzies family. 🙏
Yes we couldn’t agree more!
Great point. The family did the right thing for Lizzy and we should acknowledge that, as many are dumped and will not survive in the wild as a prey animal. I'm glad she is safe and eating.
Hope the piggie family also find a home and maybe reunite with her .Shes beautiful and the fact she looks healthy and they still kept her safe and didnt throw her out in the streets like some do .This makes me so sad
Yes absolutely they kept her as long as they could and in the end gave her up because they did love her so much. We really hope they get back on their feet
Thank you for saving all the beautiful pigs. I appreciate you.
I watched this video of Lizzie with tears in my eyes. My heart breaks for this family. Suddenly being forced into this situation and having to give up a pet is heartbreaking. Obviously they loved her very much and knew that she needed a better life than they could provide at this time. Bless you for taking her in and giving her a safe home.
💯 it was obvious how much they loved her and now we all love her too.
Aw she’s beautiful and the cage looks so nice
She looks so cute.
That must have been so hard for the family 😢
It really was. They were crying when they brought her to us. It was just so sad.
Wow this is so Sad for the Family to be without a place but they took Care of her they loved her very much. 🐹🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Kimberly Gilmore
Awww, kisses for Lizzie.
We have an exciting Lizzie update coming!
I really hope that this family will find a place to live to. Nobody should be without a home
We agree!
Kudos to you for taking her in. Taking her in has undoubtedly given the family peace of mind.
Thank you 💜 we couldn’t say no
Yeah, guinea pigs in vehicles is HARD. You do the best you can but climate control and space make it impossible to give them what they really need and it gets messy fast. I'm grateful this sweet girl got a chance to live in a safer situation, but you know my heart goes out to her family. No one experiencing homelessness surrenders their pets if they can possibly help it.
Yes I absolutely agree, we really felt for her family. This was awful for them and these are exactly the types of families we feel compelled to help.
So sad for the family, glad Lizzie has landed on her feet.
Yes we are glad she’s with us now. She seems to be very happy.
She loves it shes so grateful 🙏 ❤️ xx
I hope they get their precious piggy back. I couldn’t imagine having to give up my baby due to unfortunate circumstances
Sadly We don’t think they will be in the position to take her back but we will send them updates and make sure she’s so loved and spoiled ❤️
Oh Lizzie baby, I’m so sorry.
❤ we will do everything we can o give her an amazing life. Animals like Lizzie are why we do what we do
Cuties
She’s love it.she look just like my boy browny
Awwww Browny must be adorable
This made me real sad.... I've had to give up a piggy of mine, his name was Lausbub (which means something like troublemaker). He was my heart and soul, I loved him so much, but he was too sick for me to be able to keep him. I miss him every day...
I’m sorry you had to give him up and know that wasn’t an easy decision ❤️
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue Oh, thank you! At least I know he has a better life where he is right now. And I have three other guinea pigs living with me right now ♥
Soo good, that the family can still see her in these Videos.
Yes we really hope it makes them happy knowing she’s loved and cared for!
Just so so sad, your words are so compassionate. Absolutely, no one should have to be in that situation 😥. How devastating for the family. Thank you for doing amazing work 💞
Thank you for such nice words. It was a heartbreaking day when we took her in. Just seeing the family say goodbye broke my heart 💔
She's so precious 💕🐹❤️
Poor baby don't worry we will put you in a home
Such hard times for families bring me to tears. God bless them for not leaving the piggy and actually finding her a shelter to be cared for. I hope the family and piggy see better days ahead ♥️
I can tell you I cried after seeing how the family was living and meeting them 💔 we have been sending them updates and they’re happy that Lizzie is doing so well
Maybe if the family's situation improves, they could ask for Lizzie back?
That is a possibility
Wow that pen you have her in looks so cozy! 🥰 it's sad her owners had to give her up but they did the right thing and it's wonderful you're able to look after her 💖
Thank you! I tried to make it as nice as I could for her! As this was a last min rescue I was low on clean fleece but Lizzie seems to approve!
Thanks so much for Lizzy's rescue.
❤️thank you
Aww thank so much for saving her and god bless you
Thank you ❤
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue your very welcome
My three piggos are also nice when you pet them in the cage, one of them is super sweet when on the lap (the other two turn into Doras the Explorers). But neither of them would let themselves be picked up easily from the cage. We have to use sacks to fish them out
I’ve been doing that with Lizzie, it seems to help her feel less afraid. We’re used to piggies that hate being picked up but poor Lizzie reallyyyy hates it.
I have two female guinea pigs and she sounds like my girl Virgil Anxiety Wheekers.
what a sweet girl lizzie is 😊🥺
She really really is ❤️
Thank you so much for helping Lizzy. I'm praying 🙏 for Lizzys family that they will be ookay.
Thank you for the kind words, we are also 🙏🏼 that they will be ok
Is there any possible way we could send funds to support the family who handed this lovely pig in? I'd happily put some money in a pot to help them out of their homelessness situation.
I’ve been thinking the same thing, let me reach out to them this week. If we can come up with a way that they feel comfortable with to help them out we will let everyone know.
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue Fantastic, keep us informed! I'd love to help.
@Southern California Guinea Pig Rescue ask them if they are in Los Angeles county and or if one of them is a veteran?
How many children if any?
I may have some homeless resources as I am a Social Worker.
God bless those people that they didn't dump her anywhere. I hope things get better for them.
Yes absolutely! There are so many heartless people out there dumping their pigs and yet this family managed to hang onto her even at their lowest point. We wish them only the best ❤
Yuck. Thank you for saving the pig 💜
Thank you for your kind words!
I am so happy they did the right thing. She was loved and I am so happy they did not abandoned her. The fact that she is 5 and this healthy I think they did well taking care of her as far as they could. I hope this sweet girl has a good, happy retirement! ❤️
We agree! And yes she’s going to have the best retirement ever!
Wow what a cute guinea pig! I'm glad the guinea pig is okay! I'm sure she is happy and warm now!
Yes she’s a very happy girl!! We adore her!! There is something extra special about the senior Guinea pigs
So glad she’ll be safe and cared for ❤
Thank you! She has stolen our hearts!
The car was a Cavillac, lol!
😂
Bless her ♥️
❤️ thank you for watching and your kind words!
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
❤️thank you for watching
What county is the family? Pm me as I am a Social Worker and may have some resources for emergency housing if in LA County for the family. If one of them is a Veteran I can also help.
