Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

I've never farmed. Live in the city. Met a farmer once - only once (he grew onions, carrots and cabbages). No wheat, no corn, no soybeans.
So why do I like these videos so much? Fascinating stuff.

I spent many a night in a John Deere tractor spraying our Orange Groves when my father still had them. Only time we could apply oil to them in the Florida heat. I also used to love to see how many far away AM stations I could get at night as they were skipping off of the atmosphere. Listened to many a NY AM stations, which was always fun. Good weather and happy planting.

I'm not one that comments and many videos, but, it's awesome to see your dad warming up being around the camera more and more!... my dad and I worked for the same CO-OP in Nebraska (dad made it 39 years at that CO-OP) and helped a gentleman plant, harvest, etc. whose kids had ZERO interest in farming to lend a hand for many many years before his passing in 2009. watching your videos always takes me back to that time with MY dad, and also the thousands upon thousands of acres I've sprayed, spread, and custom applied NH3 over the years.

Glad the weather is such that planting is doable for you and across the nation. Nebraska, due to devastating flooding, may be, on the whole, a lost cause for 2019 growing season. But, if 2019s crop is blessed by necessary moisture, what is lost may be offset by a higher than expected crop. Zach, staying on top of things, supports success much more than the time spent in data/adjustments. No doubt, yields will be greater than or equal too estimates. Good luck on the hard work.

Aah seed in the ground, a good feeling. FYI, the 'grass' in the ditch is filamentous algae, a sign of sufficient nutrients in the water:). Control is either raking it out or applying an aquatic herbicide. The herbicide route would need to be something you get advice on, for state/federal laws and potential effects on row crops.
