    Thank you! I tried putting my newborn in it and it just didn’t look right and after watching your video I figured out why it didn’t! Can’t wait to use it again!

    I got two of these but my baby used it once as a newborn and has hared it since 😬 he only likes the cloth wraps. Going to try reintroducing him to this soon.

    I have a question. Aren't babies supposed to be in the m position? With the smaller seat it seams as though babies legs are just dangling. I bought this carrier as a short term while I order one that has more support for both of us. I don't believe this carrier is approved by the hip dysplasia institute, could this be why?

    • @SouthLondonSlingLibrary

      The fear around hip dysplasia is unnecessary in most cases. If your baby hasn’t been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and you do not have a family history of hip dysplasia, then I wouldn’t worry too much. Yes, having a baby in the M shape is optimal, but in most cases, a suboptimal seat position will not cause any harm to your baby. As babies grow, keeping them in a nice “knees up/bum down” position helps to distribute their weight more effectively around your torso & so helps them feel lighter as you carry them. 👍🏼

    Shouldn't the snaps be undone for newborns at the hip? I thought their legs have to be in the M position?

      The buttons on the front of the carrier, near the hips, are redundant. Infantino say that they should be fastened between 3-4.5kgs to prevent the baby falling out through the leg hole. That's honestly absurd. With the body panel between their legs & the 4 buckles fastened, babies are not going to get anywhere close to falling out of the leg holes. Similar buttons exist on the BabyBjorn Carriers and are equally as redundant there.
      The M Position helps to distribute the baby's weight around your torso more effectively, but as long as you don't have a diagnosis or family history of hip problems, it is not essential. The video does give instructions on how to improve your baby's seated position & mentions why the demo dolls don't manage to do this. I hope that helps.

    How can loosen the straps at the front at the top? I cant seem to do it

    • @SouthLondonSlingLibrary
      @SouthLondonSlingLibrary  Před 2 měsíci

      Treat the buckles at the top just like you would buckles on a bag. If you angle them away from your body they will loosen.

    Once I button the head part down, it’s too much of my baby head/neck exposed

    • @SouthLondonSlingLibrary
      @SouthLondonSlingLibrary  Před 5 měsíci

      Most of your baby's head support comes from getting a nice seated/ "M"/squat position - this carrier doesn't do that terribly well. If you feel like you're not getting enough head support from the carrier, I recommend finding your local Baby Wearing Consultant/Sling Library to try some alternattive options.

    If I snap the top down to be to the nape of the neck it's lower than the nape of the neck. Is it okay to leave it up? He's only 7.5 weeks.

      @SouthLondonSlingLibrary  Před 3 měsíci

      Try popping your hands inside the carrier, holding his pelvis & tucking his bottom under. This will help him have a better seated position & you may find he sits a little lower. 🙂

    What weight would you say to open the flaps on the bottom? My girl is nearly 5m and the manual is useless 😂

    • @SouthLondonSlingLibrary
      @SouthLondonSlingLibrary  Před 8 měsíci +3

      Hi. Honestly, it’s less about weight & more about the length of her legs. If you make the seat wider & your daughter can sit in the carrier with her knees comfortably bent over both sides then she fits. If the wider setting means that the carrier goes past the back of her knees & extends down her lower leg, then she’s still a little small & needs to go back to the narrow setting for a little longer. I hope that helps. 🙂

    Maximum kg?

    • @SouthLondonSlingLibrary
      @SouthLondonSlingLibrary  Před 2 měsíci

      The carrier has been safety tested to about 14kg, but will probably be uncomfortable long before that. Generally it’s around grown by around 6m.
