I do enjoy watching your videos especially when you troubleshoot a problem and then solve it and it is nice to see you and Uncle Bucko at your dad's shop and all three of you together and I like that very much 👍🏿
I learned how to drive on one of these when I was just a lil kid!!! I was too small to pick up the hay bales so I drove the hay wagon through the field instead!!! Wow!!! Thank you mr bill and uncle Bucko!!!
Need to get a dragy in that Malibu lol. I love these tech videos. The info you give us is very well appreciated! Love them old Jonny popper tractors too!
Hey Bill! Loved this video very informative! After carb tuning it’s sounds real good. I say it won’t be long you will have it in the eleven’s for sure. Missed you in Billy’s video boy what a show !!the race your boys had was one of the best one’s I have ever seen. Competition deluxe. Both boy’s can really drive. Keep up the great content! Until next time stay safe! Also Miss Vicky I am with you, love that pot roast at Cracker Barrel 😀😀❤️
Great video today Bill. Little bit of everything!! You need to invest in some clip on mics for Kenny and Jeremy. We would love to hear what they are saying!!👍
I always adjust the accelerator pump arm adjustment so I can fit a .010" feeler gauge between the arm and adjustment spring at full throttle. That does 2 things. One) it makes sure the pump squirts with any movement of the throttle. And 2)(I think more important) It gives a cushion so you can't rip the pump diaphragm by overextended it.
Bucko is the man. Thank you 🙏 Bill for the carb tips. I have a similar combo in my 79 Camino and I went to 8.5 pv and 35 squirter q 750 on the primary and still have a slight stumble. I’ll try your pump cam recommendation. Thanks 🙏
I so enjoyed the video love the JD content your dad is amazing going out this summer to plant with the old JD wow! I really love the carb content it took me back to the 70s when I had my race car, I used 6inch bolts to stand my carb other bench and my intake was a holley strip dominator, thank you so much Bill I had a blast back then and made a few dollars at the same time. God bless you guys and as always be safe 👍 P.S. it's good to hear that Kenny's little s-10 might be fixed you never know about uncle bucko diagnosis 😆
Thanks so much for explaining in detail about what you are doing to the carburetor as you do it. I want to find me an old car now to apply what you have explained. Congrats to Uncle Bucko for fixing the tractor, and Kenny's S-10!
There's a T shirt idea for ya Bill... the pups working as a team to go make a hit. One at the wheel while the other works the pedals. Have to be photoshop/cgi/drawn but it would be cool.
Adjust that front pump arm with a gap at idle.. At 2000 rpm launch you have already used up half your pump shot. Adjust it so its JUST touching when holding throttle at 2000rpm. Guaranteed fix.
That Falcon has no shame in its game, It seems to get very little love compared to the pickup and still gives it about all it can handle. That last race they had was one of the best and close races Ive ever seen.
Dang bill. Your wise my friend. To sit and have a conversation with you one could learn alot from you.. no wonder your kids are so dang smart and doin well. Love the content. Very pleased to see your dad running the old deere tractor.. love how tight yalls family is... God bless yall. Be safe. GO FAST!!!
Always appreciate the carb tutorials. Now I can feel confident tinkering around with my Nova which has that same type of stumble. Can't wait to get home from work to tinker lol.
I had almost the same combination in a 79 Malibu years ago. 72 jets in front and 80 in the back with a 65 power valve and 31 squirt in the front 36 in the back! Car was deadly consistent! Ran 11.50s on motor! Won several races at edgewater in the 90s when I was younger.
Good content Bill. I had the same problem with a SBC that had a Strip Dominator intake on a very mild build. Ended up having to change intake to remove the stumble. Really enjoy the carb info it helps me tune and jogs my old brain to remember.
Watching Bill Sr. take his 1952 Johnny 'Popper' down his driveway brought back some wonderful memories for me. My beloved Grandpa had a small (80 acres) farm in the Ozark's of Missouri, he had a John Deere exactly like the tractor we watched in this cool video. He also had a little Farmall 'B' my Grandma drove in their garden and in the fields mowing areas Grandpa couldn't get to on the BIG tractor. Many a farmer were hurt driving those old tractors if the seat broke off dumping the farmer off in front of the equipment they were pulling. One thing was for certain, that old tractor served my Grandpa well til they sold it once they got too old to take care of the of 'tha place'.
You finally mentioned that intake might not be perfect we both know I do a plane will work better It would be awesome to see an intake change at the race track to show the difference
I'm sure you know your carbs better than I but I'd like to mention. If you are powerbreaking for your launch, That puts your excellerator cam in a different position than at idle. You wouldn't want it too far up the lobe before the big opening if you know what I mean because you won't be getting the full lift of the lobe. Good luck. Really enjoy your vids.
Thanks for the carburetor information I am working on a brawler 950 and the information was very helpful. Also the E85 to gasoline comparison will be looked forward to.
Damn the Malibu sounds good inside, usually i have headphones on and the volume low but this morning i have the surround sound going while i watch and sip my morning coffee and have a smoke and the incar footage sounds sooo good!
Sir Bill, you are One HELLUVA of a Carburetor tuner!! Great content and thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world. 🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🙏 GOD BLESS you and the family.
Woke up this morning a little bit under the rug this morning wait for this surgery again Mr Bill. But then your video dropped well then my day just %100 amazing, thank you yall for putting a smile on my face . Cody and Dylan say hello y'all from Darlington dragway thanks for the talk Mr Bill......
love the family and friend based videos.your tutorials are very well explained thanks for your commitment to posting regularly.just curious about status on the k,p, camaro hasnt been mentioned in a while.GOD BLESS you and yours
Good morning guys just wanted you to know your channel is inspiring and fun. I hate you guys couldn't make Texas was hoping to have met you and show my 64c10short wide custom. God bless you (us all)✊🏿
Love that old John Deere. Is that an RC car stand you have the carb sitting on? That works well. And Uncle Groucho diagnoses KP’s S-10 in just minutes🤣
in th video, Bill mentioned that only Vicki made it to the race with the boys.......him and Jeremy pry had to continue to make progress back home...looks like between their pops, Jeremy and Bill, they have a ton of things that need fixing
I didn't go buy one I already had a project truck that I got back on because of this channel and I thank bill and everyone else for giving me a little boost no punt intended
Mine had been sitting in the garage since 1997, Head is completed and back, block still at the machine shop last 31 days, ordering the Ross Forged pistons is next, and all the rest of the parts are cleaned, freshened and painted, and waiting to be bolted on. Fuel cell, plumbing, wiring going now. Completing the dream, but the youtube channels were the motivation it took to finally do it. Cannot wait to scale the completed car to see how close to min wt. of 2,475 lbs. I am so far before I tear into under the dash. All thanks to O.M.G, SRC, VGG, GEN II, Jeff, and T.J., Matt...with a lil' Chief and Jack, 187 and of all things Cleetus and his crazy gang. Off to call the machine shop to ck. on progress.
Like the old song say's..."More than a feeling"... I knew I heard that heavy sigh from Lucore Bay #3...I cringed here also. But...It is, what it is. Plenty more parts and labor where that came from, better hurry with that 9" replacement Moser! Bill is gonna need it soon enough.
Love the old John Deere. I’m excited to see you guys maybe do some projects from the farm. There’s some really cool pieces up there that deserve some love!
I gotta say this one took me back to being a little kid watching my dad and pap work on the old A's in the garage. My dad had a pulling truck and my pap had his tractors, fair season was always a blast man. My dad passed about a year ago, pap long since passed so this was a cool walk through memories brought up thank you.
I think I heard Rich with a heavy sigh back there at Lucorre as soon as he hit those cold 42 degree 4:10 gears when he was checking the stumble too. As bad as fuel costs are, I would drive it to the track to put some miles on em. Have someone on stand by to trailer it home, or follow you there, those gears need a proper break in period this time. Lol.
That Malibu sounds wonderful off the powerbrake. She sounds MEEEAN. Love the Malibu series Bill. The way you've kinda used good parts,...but not the best parts,....and getting great results on a budget is wonderful. I'm learning a ton. Also,.....that rear-end looks beautiful as well. Lucore is awesome. Can't wait to see the slip she turns in next time out.
I had a Model B JD Great tractors! Uncle Bucko may be old school... but us old school guys know our s...t! The sbc like to be quite up to temp to run efficiently, especially racing if you want to be consistent. I tune my power valves by hooking a vac gage, car warmed up, in gear, at idle, take a reading.. what that reading is -divide by 2 puts you super close.. You want to super fine tune that thing on the malibu- start playing with air bleed jets. put a A/F gage in it too> that cars gonna fly! just keep a rear in one piece!
Hey Bill I remember we would take these Holley carbs out of the box take them apart and drill all of the passages inside the carb and the metering blocks. We would rotary file around the bottom of the power valve also. The porosity and trash in these things brand new is surprising.
Another great one Bill. Wish o was as good as you with a carb! I’m getting there just takin time. We started running E two years ago on a BBC in our 69’ Nova. Definitely made a difference. Gotta give you a little shit on the “drawling”, down south we call these Drawings. Lmao. Thanks buddy. Love the channel
Bill, I know it is all in fun. But you are so lucky to have Jeremy on you side, he is so very knowledgeable.now he is a mechanic, not this technician B.S. Have a good day Bill, God Bless !!!!!
Need to bring your dad down to the Lancaster antique tractor show in August, I can put him on a good tractor! Farmall! Or better, steam! Lol great video again!
We have a big thrashers show down here in Denton, NC the first week or so of July and starts at the end of June sometime. It leads into the 4th of July celebration down here usually and typically has some really nice equipment.
You infront of the camera teaching is where you should be bill. Sincerely, The 30 year old car enthusiast that's enjoying all the free knowledge I can get.
You can not buy the kind of information anymore that Bill is giving us all for free!! Guys need to be soaking it up as much as they possibly can, especially with the carb information! That quality info has been hard to come by for a few decades now and is gonna continue to get harder as we start losing the few carb wizards we’ve come to love and cherish over the years and most will never be replaced
These videos have gotten me fired up and working on my mercury zephyr. Set the motor in over the weekend and like you I’m using parts and pieces that I have. I got a kinda quick bbf fox body but I’m really enjoying messing with “slow junk” and I’m coming for that Malibu if we ever cross paths!
I grew up throwing squares. All my friends had fields and we would help each other.
Never ever show grandpa that you can put a hay bail on the wagon ..
Bucko saves the day again!! (Kenny’s day) Kenny and Jeremy were great additions to show!!
I enjoy the old man discussing all the movements and tips. I like to see old you guys in person and shake hands God bless you all.
Need to get a dragy in that Malibu lol. I love these tech videos. The info you give us is very well appreciated! Love them old Jonny popper tractors too!
I just love Bill's class on race technology 101..... so much knowledge can only come from a life time of trial and Error .....
My Dad has an A that same year and it still runs good. He bought it in 1966. Nothing like a good long tractor ride to calm your nerves!

Great content as always Bill thanks for the share👍✌😁
BILL... I LOVE your carb knowledge. GREAT STUFF!!! U rock my brother 🤟💪
I wish I did not have to keep my hand on the volume for when Uncle B is talking very soft spoken, but you all are worth it.
Love seeing this Bill. Most know very little about tuning or the enter workings of a carb. Thanks for doing such a great job on showing what’s up.
June Pup went from being a backseat driver to let's go Zoom Zoom Pawpaw...😆
Great content as usual Bill, take care. 🇺🇸
There's a T shirt idea for ya Bill... the pups working as a team to go make a hit. One at the wheel while the other works the pedals. Have to be photoshop/cgi/drawn but it would be cool.

Great video. 👍 your very lucky to still have your parents around.
I used to have a number 3 power block for the late A and 60. Nice job!!

Old man to old man, love your site and all your family stuff. God bless you and yours, keep it coming.
Great tutorial. Many of us, including me would’ve been fighting with jets without thinking of the accelerator pump..Thanks for the teachin teach 😉
Damn the Malibu sounds good inside, usually i have headphones on and the volume low but this morning i have the surround sound going while i watch and sip my morning coffee and have a smoke and the incar footage sounds sooo good!

Good seeing your pops driving his john deer 🦌
I'm sure your dad's proud of you guys and it's also good To see him in the video thanks
Love the old John Deere. I’m excited to see you guys maybe do some projects from the farm. There’s some really cool pieces up there that deserve some love!
Sweet, that malibu is getting pretty decent for sure. Nice job on the carb
Always love watching carb content it takes me back. I was wondering when you were going to cover accelerator pumps and pump cams.
Great video! You know Uncle Bucko won’t let Kenny live that down anytime soon.
Good thing you're taking it easy on those new gears
I think I heard Rich with a heavy sigh back there at Lucorre as soon as he hit those cold 42 degree 4:10 gears when he was checking the stumble too.
As bad as fuel costs are, I would drive it to the track to put some miles on em. Have someone on stand by to trailer it home, or follow you there, those gears need a proper break in period this time. Lol.
A little footage of that JD turnin dirt would be pretty nice to see.
Another great episode Bill and the old man's garage gang, 👍👍👍😎
This was one of your best! All great stuff. Keep up the good work.. 👍
What a way to wake up. Got my sweet tea and a video from Bill my morning is complete

By far my favorite channel I get mad when the old man don’t post everyday lol keep up the videos old man
Hello all. Yo Kenny Powers LOL. Hope all is well. you definitely stay up late Ol man for the People. Thanks.
Nice Work Bucko!!!
Very good video. I’m having the exact same stumble issue on my new engine setup. 1996 s10 with a 383 stroker. Stumbles on part throttle.
I had a Model B JD Great tractors! Uncle Bucko may be old school... but us old school guys know our s...t!
The sbc like to be quite up to temp to run efficiently, especially racing if you want to be consistent.
I tune my power valves by hooking a vac gage, car warmed up, in gear, at idle, take a reading.. what that reading is -divide by 2
puts you super close.. You want to super fine tune that thing on the malibu- start playing with air bleed jets.
put a A/F gage in it too> that cars gonna fly! just keep a rear in one piece!
Score one for Uncle Bucko. Good job.

Cool, old trucks and tractors... nothing better.
This is goin to be an awesome build. Love it.👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽
