Hey Warren, I’m a registered nurse in NY... NOT NYC but in NY,anyway with the caution tape and mask shit basically it’s there to protect you from someone hacking a loogie on you or sneezing on you. Covid is not airborne unless aerosolized as in like a nebulizer but is quite easily spread through a sneeze or possibly touching something on a surface or maybe stuck in a confined area such as a car or a small room, hence in a shopping dept there is a six foot space one should apply. It’s very contagious, even more so than the flu, up to three times. And while I don’t care if I get it, I don’t want to give it to my mother in law at home. I do think people are going Fuchs-tard crazy over it too though. And yes, this was “made in China”. I love your videos, I used to be a mechanic, and a machinist... I know... I’m a nurse now, but I’m married with 5 kids and she is wonderful and now I make money.
All I can say is thank God for you and people like you. I hope these events lead people to understand how critical the work you do really is. Our food doesn't show up in the grocery stores - or water out of the tap, or power out of the outlet, or the thousand and one other things that make our civilization possible - by magic. I feel being in a service truck is safest place for me to be, I’m self sufficient and isolated on work site in my own little bubble outside fixing stuff. Guys still got to work and provide for his family, not gunna sit down here up north and wait for Washington to help us out. 🔨👍
Here in Saskatchewan the JD dealers have the doors locked. You call for your part, give your credit card # and they put your part and receipt outside. Its pretty strict here but so far only 2 fatalities.
I agree 100% about politicians being greedy crooks the weird thing about the corona is my father-in-law who almost 80 got it in the nursing home had it like 3weeks but he had no difficulty breathing no high fevers just slept alot which he does anyway and and other than that he was fine and he has some health issues to so I think this is all just over hype anyway I love watching your channel and you are one of the best mechanics I have ever seen beside my dad he turned wrenches like his whole life till he passed in 02 from cancer he ran a small 2bay garage I worked with him we did towing and every thing else but your awesome true down to earth man!

Cornholio is going to have a little leaky leaky. I've been around heavy machinery mechanics since the 1960's, and I have to say that as good as some of those guys were at fixing whatever broke, they didn't have to deal with electronics on top of everything else like you do. Nice repair work, certainly under less than ideal conditions with your suppliers. This situation we find ourselves in is due to the 2 party system it shows the terrible state of our infrastructure and in some cases the complete lack of leadership in a crisis. Here in Brazil we have the lock out, but the prime business are still running, and by prime we mean food, logistic, medical and all kinds of maintenance (that is your case). The government is assisting people who can aford food, hospitals here are public services and the idea is not to crash the health system with so many cases at the same time.

what I find funny - hoarding TP and hand sanitizer, a few days later the stores in my area restocked the shelves and continue to do so and the only shortage was cause by panic. now there will be people with 2 years worth of TP I guess that is a plus, but the hand sanitizer will expire before they can use it.

I was going to ask the question based on earlier videos, "When do you replace fasteners on older equipment during a repair?". And do you ever improve the grade of the fastener by replacement when you do replace? Then, in this video I see you broke a bolt. Might be worth talking about the topic of quality of fasteners, expected life in service and their replacement during repairs for in-service equipment.

I'm 22, 23in August, I have damn near predicted most of our political turmoils and switched companies when shit was getting rough. People keep asking me why I'm bouncing around and I asked would you rather have low income and many hours of work, or high pay and little hours of work? I'd rather take the 2 dollar pay cut and make it up by 3 hours than take the 20, 30 hour paycut the companies i was working with before. I certainly have seen my friends beg for more money as they cant afford to put food on the table. I can say it has taken me a moment to realize i need my certifications to get the pay I deserve. Cause I sure as hell am hurting still with the knowledge I already have and not the pay to back it up. I see a rough summer ahead, good luck my friend we are going to be needing good guys like you holding this country together. "We the people"

check hot side of turbo. had this problem on 6.8l (claas axion with deere engine). after replacing turbo, egr cooler blew a coolant leak. welded cooler and done

Sounds like the only way to get through this "issue" is to simply just look after yourself and your family first and foremost, everything else comes in either second or third. Goofy policies like folks wearing gloves in the grocery store, but still touching everything under the sun including their faces. A guy just has to limit his time around "other folks" to just what you need to do, and get the hell outta dodge. Having spent time as a first responder, I don't mind not having anything to do with other folks when ever possible. Not saying I won't step in when needed, but if it looks "handled" I leave well enough alone. That's the times I miss working in a shop, you know your co-workers don't have real lives, so there's very low risk and there's always a one man job that needs to be done. He briefly mentioned in another video right about that time that the dozer owner was likely going to sue the outfit that sold him the winch. The winch was supposed to be a fresh overhaul. It most clearly wasn’t. I believe that the thought was that Warren’s video might end up being used as part of the case. Better safe than sorry, he took that series down. Hope that helps.

I know of a cat 980B that had 80000 on it....dont know how many times it's been overhauled but I know they still use it every day....I know the pedals were worn down to almost nothing..and the grab handles also were completely smooth and thin

Lickin door knobs ha ha brilliant I just burst out laughing again, no being serious though it's a tough deal my automotive shop in the UK carries out MOT tests on cars and vans and the government have just added six months onto all MOT expiry dates so we have suddenly got zero work, we have been promised help but that's all so far and were a week in, the crazy thing is the government has said we can stay open if we want to, but I'm not sure what we are supposed to do

He briefly mentioned in another video right about that time that the dozer owner was likely going to sue the outfit that sold him the winch. The winch was supposed to be a fresh overhaul. It most clearly wasn’t. I believe that the thought was that Warren’s video might end up being used as part of the case. Better safe than sorry, he took that series down. Hope that helps.
