Fender & Jackson Custom Shop: An Unmissable Unboxing! 1st April 2021

- It's been a minute since we've taken delivery of some tasty pieces from the Fender Custom Shop, but we're sure you'll agree, it was well worth the wait! In today's video, we pulled together the contents of a couple of different deliveries from Fender, including some brand new to the shop Jackson Custom Shop pieces, to make for one heck of a mammoth un-casing!
Everything from vintage correct reissue pieces, to off-the-cuff limited edition designs, a multitude of Master Builder specials, 80s-infused shred machines and even more! You're going to want to grab a cool drink, get some snacks to hand and enjoy all that this unboxing has to offer!

Watching a Fender Custom Shop unboxing video is always nice. Happy Easter.
There’s something about “relic” or pre-distressed/worn guitars from the factory that seems.... dishonest. I have a Washburn that I got as a gift from my first wife the year I started playing (1996). The wear on the frets is real, the cracks in the body near the neck are real, the wear on the back through the paint is real. I’ve upgraded the pickups, changed the color twice, and restrung it no less than 250 times. I have nicer, more modern, more expensive guitars in my collection now, but that old Washburn will be with me ‘til the end. Why? Cuz it’s a REAL relic, with a hell of a story!! 🎸

And I am blind, so I can’t even see the guitars… Using my imagination and living vicariously, I reckon.🤠
They're the finest guitars that money can buy.
Jack is such the gentleman, at least he acts that way on these videos, which this gentleman really appreciates.

Lived the 80s, had my share of hot rodded superstrats and seen hundreds and hundreds of 'em, but man, that Jackson with golden hardware is remarkable. Stunning instrument!!

Journeyman Relics are really where it’s at for me. As many actual vintage guitars as I’ve seen on CZcams and in person, they’re the closest.
Right off the rip that first red Tele is perfect! I just built 2 custom 59 Burst Tele's that are a mix of a 59 Les Paul burst and 50's telecaster. I'm normally not a Tele guy but after building those 2 guitars it made me want to build a classicTele for myself and that red one in this video is exactly what I'll be shooting for! There are some really nice guitars at at your shop!

I usually roll my eyes when folks start going on about guitars. It's all about the player for me. But have to say, some of these are just gorgeous. That Dale Wilson strat.....

Marst Ahhhhhhhhhhh... I dont think I could work in a guitar store like Peach Guitars. I wouldnt get any work done at all. My excuse is that I am just tuning this one up or Im just trying this guitar for a customer. I would get the sack within a week..
*Peach Guitars* Must nicer Unboxing Video . Having them already out of the shipping cartons gave you more time to really show the details of each guitar. Very informative video . Thanks Again. You seemed to enjoy doing the video comparted to the Boss Man. Who often seems grumpy ;) Like a Boss with more pressing things on his mind. As it should be :)

That Mary Kaye color Tele with the Bigsby (oh my goodness what a beauty!) Wow!
And that Jackson is sexy as hell! Don’t sleep on Jackson’s. Especially 80’s and early 90’s models! You can also thank John Mayer (Sarcasm lol) now, because of him in the last 5 years playing vintage Jackson’s live , every yolo with Daddy’s money to burn has been buying them up! Within a two year period I have seen some Jackson’s going for almost double and I am not kidding!
By the way not knocking Mayer fans so don’t take offense, I referring to all these younger guys thinking they can play guitar in 2 months like Mayer because these guys see Johnny boy with the hottest chicks. Then they realize they will have to put in some effort and just quit lol! I can’t tell you how many Fender Mayer models I have snagged for next to nothing in the 2000’s from some rich college kid and either flipped them or parted them out! Those Mayer strats have the same specs as the SRV’s, so they make killer blues machines! Whoops, talking too much! Lol

If GAK is the worst guitar shop in the UK then Peach is the polar opposite.Ordered a Ibanez RG550 from Peach two years ago,customer service was superb as was the set-up job..next time i can afford another guitar i will be going to Peach with my money..
Happy to see you have removed the actual boxes from the unboxing vids to save time. Maybe you'll have to call them uncasing vids now...

Great presentation as always, Jack! Just one man’s opinion here, but some of the heavy relic’d guitars are just way too relic’d. Personally, I just don’t quite understand the allure of buying something brand new that looks so used and road worn. Guitars that show genuine wear and tear are from years of blood, sweat, and tears that went into playing. Again, to each his/her own.
candy apple red is so 50s it hurts... I mean they can be any decade I guess but CAR with maple board is a very popular 57 reissue to see

That strat that you couldn't name the colour is a Shoreline Gold over 3 tone s/burst.
Unfortunately no. Shoreline gold is not that dark looking - it's firemist gold as per other Dale Wilson guitars that have this option of finish as well.

I love relics but I absolutely hate finish over finish.. I kinda feel like that just means more paint which negates some of the reason I like relics.. I know what they are going for but no thanks

Relic'd guitars - the ripped, stonewashed jeans of the guitar world.
No more relic crap fender Gibson Jackson etc . Want a relic or road worn hammer make it by playing it or not at all.

That (any) colour over a sunburst look so fake... It's just my opinion. I never buy that kind of relics. And I love relics.
